***Mia's POV***

Somehow, we had managed to survive the last two days, considering that Jane bought them water guns and it was hot out yesterday. They just wouldn't give up in trying to splash me. It's Saturday and we are just hanging out at home, but in about half an hour we are going to the beach.

"Mia. Do you want me to make us lunch?" I look up and find Liam towering over the couch that I'm reading my book on. In these past few days, Liam seemed a lot more relaxed and somewhat friendlier, if that was possible. We weren't hanging out all the time, but substantially more than we did two days ago.

"Um... sure. What are you making?" I smile. He was getting nicer and I felt like we were actually great friends.

"What do you want?"

"Hmm..." I wait a minute. "Baked Alaska with a two pound lobster and some soup- all homemade." I laugh, maybe a little too much.

" Ha ha ha. Very funny." He smiles sarcastically. He sits on the edge of the couch and  begins to tickle me. Yes, I am ticklish. Yes, I am ashamed of it. He gets up and then sits on my back, making me laugh even harder. "Who's laughing now? Eh?" He asks, I can hear a bit of laughter in his voice.

"Still me." I manage to get out, before scrambling out of his reach and trying to run for it. But it won't work he's too fast. Liam runs over to me and wraps his arms around my waist from behind and picks me up. He twirls me around and begins running again. I laugh even harder and scream as he carries me outside. He sets me down but doesn't let go of me.

"Here, get on my back, I want to show you something." He says smiling a genuine smile as I hop on his back. He gives me a piggy-back ride down the road and up to a small field. I then jump off as I begin to crawl under a fence. I gesture for him to follow me, but instead he jumps over it with no trouble at all. I stick out my tongue playfully and wait for him to catch up to me. He then walks in front of me, and follows a trail up the side of the field.  He then lifts up a bush and gestures for me to walk into a small clearing. I walk in and see the trees strung up with lights and a fort was set up.

"Liam, you did all this?" I turn around but don't see him.

"Yes." I hear a voice from above me and Liam is standing on a branch. He climbs down and walks into the fort made of quilts and blankets. And I follow him still looking around.

Inside, there are pillows and a computer, with a selection of movies  and video games next to it. There's also a bag filled with sodas and chips.

"Dude, this is like, a thirteen year old's wonderland." I say in awe.

"Not if you're a girl. They only care about clothes and make-up and the mall." he laughs as he plops down onto a pillow near the computer.

"Excuse me... I'm a girl and I don't care about any of those things. I don't even usually wear make-up. Only for special occasions. Plus, I love video games. Who could ever not like video games?" I smirked.

"Yeah! They're the best!" he laughs even harder. I sit down next to him and start to look through the movies. He had brought 'Tangled', 'Toy Story', 'She's The Man', and 'Benchwarmers'.

"You have good taste in movies." I state as I grab a bottle of Diet Coke.

"Thanks. I brought some Super Smash Bros, Zelda and Mariokart. Do those sound good?" He asks as he sets up his computer.

"Yeah. Just promise me one thing." I say seriously. He looks up at me. "You won't cry when I win."

"I promise I won't cry when I win." he smirks.

"Oh you're going down, Payne." I shoot back.

"Bring it, Hunter." he replies quickly. We begin to play Smash Bros. Melee. I play as Link and he plays as Pikachu. We start out playing against each other, but we switch to team mode about two rounds later.

"Liam! Quick! Get the ice climbers! I've got Samus!" I shout, my eyes glued to the screen.

"Mia get the Laser-gun! No wait! Get the Bunny-ears!" he shouts back at me, quickly grabbing a handful of chips.

"My damn bunny-ears! Don't you dare touch them, Samus!" I yelled while laughing.

"No!"

"Damn you Samus! You took my freaking bunny-ears!" I laugh even harder.

"Yes! We won!" Liam drops his controller and high-fives me.

"Woo!" I shouted. I reached for my phone and realized that it was already two o'clock. "Liam, we should probably get going, but how are we gonna get all of this stuff back to the house?"

"We'll just leave it here. I don't need any of it, we have a little cooler and I can put a tarp over it just in case it rains." he smiles.

"Awesome! Somebody's boy-scout material! How about we do this everyday for as long as we're here. It'll be fun!" I say, reaching down to tie my combat boots.

"Okay! sounds great!" he said standing up. We shook on it and I could tell that I wouldn't hate him as much as I thought.
