***Liam's POV***
I trip on the stairs as I bring my bags back up to my room. Mia follows behind, ready to unpack again. The flight was pretty long, even though I sat next to Mia for a while. I wonder what it's like to go to college. I'll never really get the chance.
"Hey, what did you think of C-Town?" Mia asks smiling.
"It was nice. It's hard living in the city all the time. Not because of the city, but because of the people. All the reporters, no privacy, never getting to go out shopping or anything. It's going to get even worse when we seal the record deal." I explain to her. She nods in agreement.
"I'm sorry. It must be tough. It's horrible what the paparazzi do to celebrities. They take bad pictures, twist their words, I even hear of them breaking into famous peoples' houses." She says sadly. That hasn't happened to us yet, but it's likely to happen sometime sooner or later.
I walk back downstairs after unpacking and turn on the T.V. to watch a movie. Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief was just starting so I decide to keep it on.
"Hey! Liam, you just got a text from Paul." Mia shouted from the top of the stairs. I quicky run over to the bottom of the stairs and she throws it down to me.
"It says that we're needed in the studio rght now. Mia, you can come too. I think it's for the best, after all, we don't want you running off again." I smirk. I'm so evil.
"Fine. Let me just put on my shoes." She runs back upstairs and a few minutes later, she's skipping steps on the way down. Crazy.
We start walking there and she stops again to look in the same window. It was a jewelry store. She obviously had her eye on the one in the front. It was a small heart with an infinity sign inside of it. There were small words along the infinity sign. Infinity is forever. I take note of it in the back of my mind and we continue walking to the studio.
When we arrive, all the boys are there, already waiting for us.
"So, Paul, why'd you want us to come down?" I ask.
"Boys, I have some big, big news. I think that you're all going to be happy." a familiar voice says from behind me. I turn, startled, to see Simon standing there.
"Simon!" We all start yelling and cheering.
"Settle down boys, I have a big announcement. It's not public yet, so don't say anything. You boys, are making a record." Silence. The room is filled with silence for about a minute. I can't believe this is happening. This is great. Oh my god, this is actually happening. We all scream louder than we've ever screamed before. This is huge. I can't believe it. White noise, that's what I hear right now. A ringing in my ears, but not the bad kind. The kind that tells you it's the best day of your life and that you know it's complete. You know that you will be the happiest person alive forever and nothing can bring you down.
I run over to Mia and pick her up, hugging her. She's smiling and laughing too. She doesn't know that she's perfect, but that's what makes her perfect. She's smiling and happy, without being conceited or worried about what other people think of her. And frankly, I hope she never changes.
***Mia's POV***
I can't believe this is happening! This is great, this is the best news in the world.
"I suggest you all find dates, there's going to be a huge premiere party, almost like a prom, that you never got to have. We thought it would be a nice treat." Simon says after all the yelling dies down.
"This is going to be the best night ever!" Liam yells.
*******************************************
We arrive back at the house and Liam disappears into his room. I sit down on the couch and watch Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief was on again, so I left it on. It's actually a pretty good movie.
Liam rushes back downstairs and rushes past me to get the scissors from the kitchen. I hear him close the drawer and he speed-walks past me.
"Really?" I laugh, he turns to face me.
"What? Safety first." he replies smiling.
"Momma's boy." I turn back around to face my attention to the screen.
"Well your mom's a... a... you're a momma's boy." He stutters out, flustered. I laugh and watch the scene when Percy, Grover and Annabeth go to Las Vegas and get distracted by the lotus flowers.
"Mia. Can you come here for a minute? I have to ask you something about this science thing." Liam calls from the bedroom. I run upstairs and walk into the room. I see a trail of rose petals leading over to the window frame. There's a card on the frame. When I open it, it has a recording of Somewhere Over the Rainbow on a ukulele. "LOOK DOWN" it read. I look out the window and see Liam holding a rose.
"Will you go to the premiere with me?" He shouts. I smile. Oh this day just keeps getting better and better.
"Yes. I'd love to!" I shout back. I walk backwards to the edge of the bed and flop down on it, looking up at the ceiling.
"I hope I never have to go home."
