Johnny & Josh

"That was a great turned of events don't you think?" Johnny asked his brother as he drove his car to their place. They're neighbors; each of them owned a house somewhere in West Hollywood.

"Yeah, it was" Josh answered, he didn't look at his brother. He kept on looking outside, his elbow rested on the window while his index finger is gently touching his lips.

"Okay what's wrong?" Johnny asked.

"Nothing" Josh replied.

"Your index finger is caressing your lips Josh that means you're into deep thinking, what is it?"

Josh didn't reply, he stops with his mannerism when he's thinking and focus his sight on the road instead.

"Come on brother, spill it out to me." Johnny insists.

Josh took a deep breath then looked at his brother and said.

"You think Ely loves Kyle? I mean not the kind of love...you know love... I mean do you think she's in love with Kyle?"

"Does it matter?" Johnny chuckles.

"Yeah"

"To who?... To you?" Johnny laughs softly "Josh, it's really a good thing Ely introduced you...not only you but us to Levy, can you just be grateful with that."

"Johnny, I really am glad Levy is my child, honestly... I have never been this happy. Knowing I have a kid, knowing that she's excited to know me and be with me and do the father-daughter kind of things but..."

"There is no but Josh, Levy is your kid, but Ely...she's happy with Kyle now alright. Like I said you are lucky Ely gave you the opportunity to know Levy, just be content with that."

"What if Ely would be much happier with me?"

"What if she doesn't?"

"No, Johnny she will, I know Ely and I know that she's still in love with me."

Johnny put his foot on the break that made the car stop instantly.

"What is wrong with you?" Johnny faced Josh "I don't understand your obsession to be with Ely, why can't you just let her go!"

"Because I can't!" Josh raised his voice a little.

"Bullshit!" Johnny shouts a bit "What's with that woman huh? Can't you see, this is not you brother. You're making a fool of yourself and I hate to say this but Ely is not worth it...She's not worth it!"

"Yeah, she is! More than anyone else you knew the "Ely story" and you know she's worth it." Josh tried to convince his brother.

"Yes she's worth loving...but makes a fool of you, trust me little brother no woman is worth man's sanity."

"Coming from a guy who believed in one true love, I doubt your judgment dear old brother."

"That's different Josh, my fiancée loves me and she doesn't just love me she loves me back. It's far different from you and Ely."

"What if you are me and your fiancée is Ely...Let's say you're in our shoes? Wouldn't you fight for her if you had the chance?"

Johnny didn't answer, instead he said:

"What's with Ely? Seriously...why her?"

"Because there is no one else, you have no idea brother. That time in Jersey, I was a different Josh, well not really different...I mean this is the different Josh, the famous Josh Scurlock. I've been on show business half my life and I already forget the real me. Then I met Ely...when I was with her that day, the real Josh instantly appeared. I can laugh out so hard, I can talk freely, I can yawn...scratch my head...my back...my butt and she doesn't care. I don't have to worry if she would approve my behavior or not. When I'm with Ely I don't need to be someone else,, I can be with myself and she still love me. I saw it in her eyes, even I was in my worst look or gestures, and she still finds me adorable. When I'm with Ely I don't need to be the famous Josh Scurlock, I don't need to please her because she's already pleased. Just being with me pleases her already."

"Well...I don't think Ely is pleased for the past months." Johnny said "Sorry to interrupt you but you can't think straight. I can't help but noticed when you're with Ely it's all about you; she's pleased because she's with the famous Josh Scurlock being with himself." Johnny scoffs "Now that is true love, really my dear brother?" Johnny mocks at Josh.

"When I'm with her" Josh continues and ignored his mocking brother "When I'm with her, the time stops, when I'm with her I don't care about anything...I'm at peace...I actually never slept with anyone but Ely."

"Huh!" Johnny scoffs again "I found that hard to believe little brother, you've been sleeping with Ana for four years now."

"I didn't mean it that way Johnny, I meant sleep literally...when I was with Ely in Jersey I was asleep the whole evening."

"Maybe Ana keeps you busy that's why you can't sleep." Johnny teases Josh.

"Please don't insult Ana, she's more than that." Josh said.

"I am not and that's exactly my point. You're with Ana for four years and she's the sweetest thing I've ever met, the most understanding human being I've known, why can't you just love her and be with her?"

"Because she's not Ely." Josh answered firmly.

"Ely is with Kyle, Josh!"

"I know."

"And you're with Ana."

"I'm no longer with Ana, we broke up, well... we're not that serious so I don't think breaking up is the appropriate word, but we did end things between us. It's over."

"What did she say?" Johnny was surprised.

"Like you said, she's the most understanding human being you and I both know so...yeah, she understands."

"Oh boy!"

"Oh boy what?...why?" Josh is confused.

"Did you tell Ely? I mean does Ely know that it's over between you and Ana."

"No, I don't think she would be interested."

"Of course she is, the reason why Ely gave Kyle a chance was because she doesn't want to step toes with Ana."

"What do you mean?" Now Josh is really confused.

"It's too late brother, she's with Kyle now and from the kind of Ely you told me about and the kind of Ely I met and I know she's not the kind of girl who would hurt someone for her own happiness."
