Prelude

"Unbelievable!"

That's what Ely kept on telling herself since she walked out from Rosh office. Rosh is one of the biggest film outfit and television network in Hollywood. Ely park her car at stop and shop, a gasoline station.

A year ago she received a call from her publisher Tony.

"Ely, your novel will be a movie!" That's what he said.

That is the break she's been waiting for; she's been a novelist for four years now. She can't count how many novels she had been written but she remember half of them became best sellers, ten of them was New York's #1 bestsellers and three of them was #1 bestsellers for four months. And those three novels made her dream come true.

It has always been her dream that her novels would have a movie adaptation. She was so obsessed with that dream that she took some screenwriting lessons. She told herself she won't let other people ruin her stories, if it will have an adaptation she doesn't want to argue with the script.

She wanted it to be done just like she wrote them, so she took some classes just in case. And it happened; Rosh agreed that she will do the screenplay. Its part of the deal, she signed an exclusive contract for them, her three bestsellers for four months will be a movie.

A big time producer read her book, his name is Johnny Scurlock. She remembers what Johnny told her a year ago.

"I will produce your adaptation, it would be a success. But I want you to think about it carefully, Hollywood is far more different than New York bestsellers. Once you signed the contract there is no way out! Rosh and I will have the copyright of your story and you can't do anything about it. So think carefully!"

And she didn't think of that. She was so excited with her new luck.

"Hollywood, Wow!" that's what she said. All she ever thought was she's confident with her four months bestsellers. After that she will have a bright future in ELAY!

"How can I be so stupid?" Ely asks herself again. "Why didn't I saw that?"

SCURLOCK! The first time she heard the name she should have known. But she ignored that, instead she said "Slim chance" to herself.

"Stupid!" Ely told herself again.

Scurlock is really a rare last name, it's not like Smith or Jones or any last names that scattered around the globe. There is that great chance that Johnny Scurlock is related to Josh Scurlock.

Yes! JOSH SCURLOCK! The 90's Hollywood heartthrob, now an A-lister, voted as the sexiest man alive of People Magazine twice and highest paid actor for three consecutive years.

"How could it be?" Ely asks herself, confused.

Not confused how or why Josh became an A-lister or Hollywood highest paid sexiest man alive but how in heaven their paths crossed again.

"Now my secret will be revealed. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!"
