Guilty Feeling

The first two missed call, two messages and one voice mail was from last night, Josh stayed till after dinner at her place last night, and after Josh left she packed their things for their trip.

Her cell phone was in the room where she considered as her office. That's where she writes her novels. When they left early this morning she just grabbed her cell and leave, she didn't bother to check it.

They took a private plane to Bahamas so they don't need to turn their cell phones off during the flight. Then they reached the private beach house and she totally forgot that there's this thing called cell phone that needs to be checked.

Hell...she totally forgets Kyle. She made a promise yesterday that she would call him to tell him about their trip with Josh but she forgot that, and today ends and she never thought of Kyle.

The next messages and voice mail were just asking how she and Levy is. That she maybe busy that's why he can't get a hold of her. But the last three messages, Kyle is worried and his last voice mail was:

'I was really worried that something bad happened cause you didn't answer your phone, not even a reply on my text messages, so I rushed to your place, I have to leave the production because I'm so worried, silly me.'

Ely gather her strength and dialed Kyle's number. When Ely heard Kyle's "hello" on the other line she bit her lower lip and closed her eyes to gather more strength.

"Ely is that you?" Kyle asks.

"Yeah, it's me." Ely took a deep breath before she continues "Kyle I'm so sorry, I..."

"You forget about me?" Kyle chuckles.

Ely left out of words, she's a writer, a wordsmith yet she didn't know what to say to Kyle.

"Your Mom told me you went on a trip with Josh, you and Levy...of course she explained to me that you don't like the idea but it's a two weeks trip and you can't trust Levy with Josh alone." Kyle's tone is obvious, he's upset.

"I was planning to call you but..."

"But you forgot" Kyle interrupts Ely.

"I don't know else what to say except I'm sorry." Ely said. There's no point in explaining. Kyle is right she forgets about him and it would be a lie if she comes up with excuses why she hasn't answering her cell.

"Did you do something wrong?" Kyle asks.

"What do you mean?" Ely answered.

"You just apologized; it's an expression of regret for something that one has done wrong." Kyle brightens his tone a little.

"I haven't done anything..." Ely started to feel annoyed but she calmed herself. Kyle had the right to accuse her or get jealous "I apologized for not answering your call and text messages. I admit I forgot about my cell, Josh left my place after dinner last night, I packed for this trip then when we arrived here Levy is so excited that I never had the chance to check on my cell. Sorry for that."

"Its okay babe, I understand, I should be the one who should apologized. I mistrust you, and it's wrong. I should not doubt you or suspect you of anything."

Ely left out of words again, she wanted to say 'why are you so good to me' like she always does when Kyle understands her but she can't utter the words.

"I love you" She heard Kyle said on the other line.

"I know" She replied.

Kyle delivered a soft laugh and said "Is he there?"

"Who?" Ely is confused.

"Your husband, I just said I love you and your reply was I know." Kyle is now really in a good mood "Is he listening?" he continues to joke around.

Ely laughs softly, she bite on Kyle's joke "Yeah he's here and I don't care if he's listening. Whether he heard it or not I'm gonna say it. I love you more Kyle Hickman."

"Good" Kyle said "Say it again." Kyle commands her with tenderness.

"I love you...I love you...I love you more Kyle Hickman." Ely said that in between soft laughs she was standing behind the door. "You want more..." she continues "I love you...i love you...I love you" then she turned around and froze, Josh is standing few feet from her. He's carrying Levy, she's asleep.

Quick note:

all my characters are work of fiction, they're all named after my friends and I have some influence on few characteristics but the whole package of their human being for the series is form of fiction. The names are real people but their character doesn't exist in real life.

Anyway, I was out of ideas when I wrote this chapter. Sorry for making Ely so stupid (again fiction, the real Elydia Reyes is not this stupid) by saying I love you back at Kyle and worst "I love you more" back at Kyle. I know...she's leading Kyle into something, okay spoilers. It's pretty obvious, DUH! You had it on your comments.
