Chapter 7;

Natalie p.o.v

"Ok, that's gross!" Eric groaned as another person had thier insides ripped out in the film. "Urgh, you can see everything!" He looked away just as I laughed.

This was the second zombie film we had watched, and he had made me promise that the next one wouldn't be, to which I had grudgingly agreed.

"You are such a wimp!" I laughed. He looked at me, feigning being insulated, hand over his heart and everything. I just rolled my eyes. "Drink?"

"Please." He replied, handing me his glass. I took it and went to the kitchen.

I was amazed at how easy this was. I thought that admitting feelings for someone automatically made it awkward - it had for me in the past anyway.

I had to physically stop myself from jumping on him when he had told me that he feels the same. I had just gone with a sentence and a kiss instead - much less scary, I laughed to myself.

I had filled the glasses with water - that's all he ever drunk, apart from the occasional beer - and took them to the living room. I placed them on the table in front of us and plonked down on the end of the sofa.

I was looking at the screen, but he got my attention with a "Hey, Tallie." I looked at him, seeing him leant against the arm of the sofa, spread out and relaxed.

I could feel the look of confusion on my face. He laughed and gestured to the space next to him. "Come here." Oh, right. I instantly smiled and climbed over to him, settling on his chest.

"Sorry. So used to us sitting separately, you know?" I tried to explain. He shook his head with a smile and wrapped his arms around me.

"Yeah, I know. It feels so unreal. But good." I felt light pressure on the top of my head, and looked up at him.

"Did you really just kiss my head?" I asked with an amused look on my face.

"And if I did?" He looked down at me and I saw that he had his cheeky look on his face - the one that meant trouble.

"Nothing. Nothing at all." I sighed in satisfaction as I placed my head on his chest once again. I could feel and hear his heart beating under me, still marvelling at the fact that I could just reach over and touch him at anytime I wanted.

I wasn't paying attention to the film at all now. I hadn't decided to run my fingers under his t-shirt, but I smiled when I found myself doing it anyway. He shuddered and let out the tiniest groan, and I knew I had distracted him.

My fingers continued thier path over his bare torso, laying flat just under his pecks. "What ... are you trying to do to me?" He asked breathlessly, head thrown back slightly.

"Mmm ..." I tried to remain calm, but my heart was beating wildly and his rather lovely six pack was doing nothing to help matters. "I couldn't help it, sorry." I took my hand from under his shirt and held it up by my chest, trying not to touch him anymore.

"It's- it's fine." His head came down so he could kiss me. "You realise the film has been over for a while, right?"

I hadn't. With a laugh, he got up and put the next one in the DVD player - no zombies this time.
