Chapter 23;
Tallie p.o.v
I knew Eric had had a bit too much to drink. He wasn't drunk, just tipsy and had been for a while.
"There is one person especially who I want to thank - my beautiful girlfriend, Natalie. Come on up here, sweetie!" He had smiled and pointed at me as he was giving his speech.
Everyone had turned to look at me, most applauding. With an eye roll and a slight smile, I cautiously made my way onto the stage.
I reached him and he pulled me into a huge hug, as if no one was watching.
I moved away slightly, but he pleasantly surprised me and kissed me passionately. Json had wolf whistled and a few others had whooped.
"I'm going to kill you!" I laughed and blushed and he continued his speech with his arm around my waist the whole time.
Eric p.o.v;
"Come on, we should be getting you home." Tallie laughed as she steadied me as we walked towards the exit. I had breifly lost my footing and bumped into her slightly.
"Mmm, I like the sound of that!" I giggled. I rarely giggled, but I couldn't stop myself this time.
"To sober up! You've got a photoshoot tomorrow, you know." she smirked. "I take it you can walk?"
"Ja Absolut!" I hiccuped. "I'm not drunk, you know. Just happy." I didn't speak Swedish often but it just slipped out today.
"I know - you forget I've seen you very drunk before." she laughed as she hailed a taxi.
It pulled up and I opened the door for her. She climed in, me following as I gave my address to the driver before falling onto the seat next to her.
"You're not allowed to fall asleep on me, Saade. I can never wake you up on the best of days." she chuckled.
"I'm not that bad!" I protested weakly through a laugh.
"Please, it's like trying to raise the dead most days!" she teased, poking me gently in the ribs.
"Let's not get into who does what in bed." I winked. She moved closer, resting on my chest as my arms wrapped around her shoulders.
"Hopefully you are fit enough for tomorrow. I really don't want to be nursing my boyfriends hangover when he should be working."
"I'm not drunk." I insisted sleepily.
"Sure you're not." My eyes closed as I relaxed, my head falling back onto the headrest.
"I had fun tonight, by the way. It was nice to finally be seen in the public eye as your girlfriend." She smiled up at me. I opened my eyes and looked down at her.
"I look foward to seeing us in the paper tomorrow." I replied with a smile.
I didn't hear her reply as a few seconds later, I fell asleep. I vaguely remember her waking me up a few minutes later, us getting out of and paying for the taxi, before we went inside and fell asleep in bed.
