Hiro furrowed his eyebrows, as Ashi smiled. "(Y/N)! Hello there!~ Glad to see you here!" You shyly smiled back before getting to the important task at hand. "Dad, uh, why're you talking to Ashi?" You said, taking a seat in the middle of the two. Ashi gasped; it looked really fake. Hiro wanted to SLAP Ashi's face right off, and stomp on it. "This is your dad?" Ashi said, looking from your father, then to you. You slowly nodded, the corners of your mouth beginning to frown. Ashi's face popped into a smile. "Oh, that's so cool!" He said, drawing little connections from you to him in his mind.
Hiro crossed his arms. Whenever he was around Ashi, he felt a burning feeling in his gut. It was most likely jealousy. Hiro was getting these problems a lot lately. Hiro should go to therapy. (Or see Baymax.) "See, I'm here because your father contacted me of a fire. My family works with this sort of thing, see?" Ashi informed, professionally laying his hands on the table. "...Uh-huh." You slowly nodded, as Hiro stared down Ashi. Ashi flashed a smirk at Hiro, stretching. "Your parents work with fire?" You inquired, wanting to know more about the tragic incident that lead to a not so tragic outcome with Hiro.
"No, they're more detective like people." Ashi explained, scooting closer to you. Hiro coughed, and pulled a chair inbetween you two. Ashi playfully twirled his hair around his finger, looking at you teasingly. Hiro scoffed. 'Attention whore.' He sassily rolled his eyes to himself as Ashi chuckled. "So, (Y/N)-" Hiro snapped and interrupted. "Please, cut to the chase." Ashi smiled a sugary smile. Too sweet. There was DEFINITELY something behind that smile. "We're figuring out who burned down your house." Ashi said, as your dad enthusiastically nodded. You gasped. "Oh!" Sure, you've briefly thought about what- or who- burned down your house, but you've been too busy hanging out with Hiro to give it full thought.
You cracked your knuckles; you were getting really interested. Maybe Ashi wasn't so bad. He's gonna help you find the burner! Or... Object that burned your house. You excitedly smiled and clasped your hands together. "This is so cool! It's like a murder mystery!" You said, glee reflecting in your eyes, looking at Ashi. He didn't seem like such a bad guy after all. You shouldn't mistake friendliness for flirting, after all!
Hiro seemed crestfallen. "But we're not doing all the investigating, huh?" Hiro said, his sad frown turning into a confident smile. "Your parents are doing that." Yes, Hiro has this in the bag-- "Not at all." --bam! Shot down! Oh baby, a triple! (Not a triple, but roll with it.) Ashi coolly cracked his back and sighed. "My parents have the things we need, but (Y/N)'s lovely father has struck a deal with me. If we do the investigating, it's not as much money. I'm very good at being a detective, I'll have you know." Ashi smiled, patting the detective hat that delicately laid on his head.
--That was there the entire time, wasn't it?
You gazed in awe at it. Hiro's eye twitched. Hiro lifted his arm about to say something, but you interrupted. "When is this starting?" You said. Hiro desperately gazed you in the eye, mouthing: 'Ashi scares me. Stranger danger, let's go!' You sadly touched him on the shoulder, his eyes looking at your hand, then you slightly blushing. 'I really need to know, Hiro. This was my home.' You mouthed back. (You two are sure good at reading another's lips ;o) Hiro sighed sadly, nodding understandingly. "It starts tomorrow! We get to skip college for it." You both gasped. "But- the work-" He stuttered, you saying the same thing. Almost.
Ashi shrugged. "We got it covered. My parents informed the school about it." He shrugged away the the truth; he desperately begged his parents to bribe the school to let them skip without faltering grades. It took a lot of money, hah.
"Well, alright." You nodded, standing up. Hiro instantly smiled; FINALLY. Time to leave Mashy-Ashi! (A stupid nickname I just came up with!) Hiro skipped up the stairs, until- "Hiro, wait a second!" Your dad said, as Hiro slowly looked around, eye twitching once more. "You should both take Ashi out for lunch!" You both gasped, Hiro angrily and you happily. You felt very in-debt towards Ashi for this. Even though 'stranger danger' was still lingering in your mind, you pushed it away, no matter how strong the thought was.
"Lunch?" Hiro said. "We only just woke up-" His eyes hit the clock. It was almost 3:30pm. 'So we talked for that long, huh...' He grumpily thought, walking down the stairs. "It'll be fun, Hiro." You tried to persuade him. This was a good excuse to get hang-out time with Hiro! Hiro thought about it. Well, if it was for your happiness. "Fine." Hiro gave in. But he was doing this for you. Ashi? Never.
Maybe he was being a bit hard on Ashi though. What if he really was a good guy?
.....Hiro was a genius. When was he ever wrong?
yoyoyoyoyo hey guys it is me and I might've decreased in writing skill BUT THAT MEANS I HAVE TO BUILD IT UP! WHY DOES HIRO HAVE JEALOUSY PROBLEMS? WHEN DID ASHI BECOME A DETECTIVE? WHY IS ASHI SO FAKE? WHY DO I KEEP ASKING QUESTIONS?
