Anxiousness coursed through Hiro's veins, returning to the table. His hands were shoved in his pockets. His eye brows furrowed as he neared the table; Ashi was sitting next to you?! Was Hiro really gone that long? He sighed and rolled his eyebrows. What a clod. But that didn't really matter anymore, Hiro was redeeming himself.

Your eyes lit up in delight as Hiro returned to the table, sitting across from you as Ashi did previously. Hiro glared at Ashi. Yeah, yeah, stranger danger. You sighed and rolled your eyes, but smiled. "What took you so long in the bathroom?" You inquired, drinking in the broth of your soup. It was heavenly! You smiled, making Hiro smile. "Bathroom?" He said, confused. "I didn't..." He droned, gears of realization suddenly ticking into place. "Ohhhh, I went somewhere else." He looked downwards, smiling guilty. "I actually got you this!"

He brought out a cute little velvet box, handing it to you. Ashi squinted at it, seeming disgusted. "You got her a box?" He nervously laughed. Your eyes were practically sparkling as you shyly reached out for the box. "For me, huh?" You inquired. You took it, and slowly, carefully opened it, as if a snake were inside. The box was a royal blue, its texture velvet and felt super smooth against your fingers.

Inside was a simple silver chained necklace, with (your birthstone gem) in the middle. You gasped. It was simple, but absolutely gorgeous! "Oh, wow..." You blushed. Hiro did the same, awkwardly looking anywhere but your face. "Uh, yeah. Just... Thought you would like it." Ashi scoffed, biting back a very harsh insult. "So that's where you went." Ashi murmered. You nodded, understanding. Excited, you attempted to put on the necklace (but that never really worked out). Ashi raised a hand in attempt to help, but before he knew it Hiro was leaning over the table, securing the necklace on you with a satisfying snap!

(That actually sounds terrifying. A quiet snap.) "W-Wow, it looks great.." Hiro said, as you turned around. You lightly blushed, and laughed your familiar angelic laugh that Hiro loved so much. "I wish I had a mirror." You said. "...Your food is gonna get cold if you keep dilly-dallying." Ashi commented to the both of you. "Oh, thanks, Ashi!" You said, making Ashi smile. Hiro slightly nodded, agreeing with you. It was a peaceful lunch, other than the electric air that ran between Hiro and Ashi.

You sighed, content with your delicious meal. Ashi and Hiro competed for who left the bigger tip on the table. What was with them? When did they become extreme rivals all of a sudden? Eh, whatever. You'll ask Hiro about it later. Your hands were shoved into your pockets walking on the way home, fingering the box of the necklace as you smiled. But your smile dropped, the more you thought about the precious gift Hiro handed you.

"Uhhh, Hiro, how much did that necklace cost?" You said, slowly turning to look at Hiro. He went pale as he drew his lips back. "...Ummmmm... I forgot." He said, turning his pockets inside out. "Where's the receipt?" You asked, mind beginning to work on whether he's lying or not. Hiro patted himself down, in frantic search of the receipt. "I think I threw it into the recycle bin with the plastic bag." He said, genuinely frowning. "Sorry." He said, as you raised your eyebrows. "Mmm... Okay." You looked back infront of you, as Hiro relaxed his shoulders, slightly smiling.

Ashi said nothing the entire time, clearly in deep thought. It was almost scary. Ashi was intimidating to begin with, from all this 'stranger danger' crap. You tried to think he was good inside. Isn't there good in everyone? You waved goodbye to Ashi as he smiled and hugged you goodbye. Ashi smelled like... Rusty metal. You couldn't quite put your finger on it.

You entered the cafe, and ran up the stairs with Hiro to his room. He threw his jacket on his bed, and you did the same with your bed. You flopped on it, and sighed. "That was fun!" You said, sitting back up, hair floofed up multiple directions. Hiro laughed, murmuring a "yeah" whilst jumping onto his spinny chair. You smirked and furrowed your eyebrows, and took his jacket, searching his pockets. The receipt must be...

Ah! There it is! You grabbed the paper... A little too loudly! Hiro turned around, eyes widening. "Don't touch that!" He commanded, but you disobeyed. Your eyes scanned the paper, until his hand flew at you-- You skillfully dodged, as Hiro then attempted to tackle you. (That receipt must be important. All the more reason to read it!) You ran to the bathroom, him following close behind. His cotton black and red socks slipped against the floor as you made your way to the bathroom. Until Hiro stubbed his toe against a coffee table!

He (Nichijou) screamed and fell. Eh, you'd check on Hiro later. You looked at the receipt, finding the necklace. "50 dollars?" You gasped. Hiro groaned. "I wanted to get you something nice. Something cheap wouldn't suffice." He painfully laughed at his rhyme. You angrily turned to him. "We are returning this necklace; that's a lot for just a necklace." Hiro rolled his eyes. "Try the other million dollar necklaces. I'm not returning that necklace, it looks very n-nice on you." You sadly smiled, running your fingers over the necklace, beginning to blush. "I'm paying you back." You insisted.

Hiro angrily sighed. "No money or gifts." You raised your eyebrows. How else would you-- Ha! Idea! You bent over Hiro, and kissed him on the cheek. "...Thanks for the necklace." You smiled, face flushing. You skipped back to Hiro's room.

Hiro's face bursted into a lovely shade of red. In a very small voice he whimpered "...T-That'll do..." Caressing the part of his face that you kissed.

...He was stuck there for another 5 minutes recovering from stubbing his toe.

cool so I think that's pretty good. anyway, uh, yeah, romancing it up, aren't you? wink wonk. I once misspelled Hiro as Hirp. It was funny. I didn't laugh or smile at all, though. I just did though. Uh, have fun,
