They never take anything seriously.
They are always making fun of someone.
They are always laughing.
They are always trying not to laugh in a serious situation.
They are very sarcastic. They always get yelled at in class by the teacher. They wisecrack at every comment. They even can make anything and everything dirty. It just gets annoying. It's hard holding a conversation with them. They never focus all the way. They always laugh when they aren't supposed to. And they almost always never hear you right because they are too busy making jokes about the whole situation. If you told them that your dog died they would laugh. Everything is funny to them. It doesn't have to be anything big. They can laugh at the way a poster is positioned on the wall. They can laugh at the way you say a certain word. They can laugh at the way you breathe. If they find someone off about an object, or the way something acts, they will turn it into a sick joke.
The worst part is, they are actually funny. And when you are talking to them you don't know if you should laugh at their unusually funny jokes are cry because they are making something serious funny. They are the class clown. They are always cracking jokes in class. Whether the teacher loves them or hates them, they are either A). laughing because what they said was funny. B). laughing because they are trying not to kill them. Or C). laughing because they don't understand. The worse of a mood a teacher is in the better. The more jokes you can make, the angrier the teacher gets, the funnier the situation becomes.
It doesn't always have to be an actual joke. Sometimes it can be the repetition of questions. Well, dumb questions. It can be the repetition of asking for something the teacher just said. If you ever want your class to laugh, ask what the teacher just said. It works every time. It can be a noise. The class clown is always the one to start it. As time goes on, the noise becomes more frequent. And yet, the teacher still can't figure out who the source is. The teacher eventually will snap at everyone, saying the next person to make the noise is in deep trouble. Of course everyone stays silent. Except the jokester. Five seconds after the teacher snaps the noise fills the air again. You can almost see the steam coming out of the teacher's ears. You can hear the laughter everybody is trying to hold in so desperately.
The jokester isn't afraid of anything. They will challenge the teacher any day. There's a new joke everyday. Sometimes the whole class is in on it. Sometimes the teacher is in on it. Most times, no one is in on it. No one knows what is going on. No one knows what to expect out of the day. No one knows when it is going to happen. No one knows if anything is going to happen at all. And just when you think nothing is going to happen, something does happen. Something on the powerpoint appears. A strange noise fills the room. Someone from outside the class disrupts the lesson. Someone keeps throwing pebbles against the window. Something is happening somewhere. You are just as confused as the teacher is. But then you understand. The jokester striked again.
You wish you were as funny as they were. You wish you could make a comeback like they could. You wish you could create such a distraction like they can. You wish you thought of jokes as funny as their jokes are. But you can't be like them. Because the jokester is one of a kind. They are annoying. They are disrespectful. They go undetected. They are unpredictable. They are the class clown.
And you hate how funny they are. Because you wish you could be funny like that too. They probably make fun of your failure. They make fun of the way you aren't funny. But it's not you. It's everyone. There is a difference between teasing someone and joking about them. Teasing someone is where you go out of your way to hurt someone. Teasing is where you make someone cry and feel bad about themselves.
Joking about someone is where you make them laugh about themselves. Joking about them is where you make them realize that having flaws is alright. Joking about someone is where you make them laugh so hard they cry.
The jokester doesn't know when to stop. The jokester doesn't know when enough is enough. Because when someone tells them to stop, they keep going. Because stopping is nothing but another joke to them. They never stop. They never will. All they know how to do is joke. They don't know how to be serious. For being serious is the biggest joke of all.
