They know everything.
They hear everything.
They see everything.
They share everything.
They never stop. They don't know when to stop. Everything they say always relates to someone else. They always have answers to the questions about recent events. You don't know how they do it. You don't know how they know every little thing. You're not sure if you want to know. All you know is that they know and they will tell you anything you want to know in a heartbeat. They live to live others lives. They know more about other people than they know air themselves.
Of course, not everything they know is true. Most of the things they say are 40% truth and 60% lies. Most of the time you believe them because everybody else is talking about it as well. But then, you never will truly know if it is true or not. You want to believe it, but you don't want to. You want to find out the truth, so you want to talk to the person it's about. But you are scared to. You don't want to upset her, even if she already knows. I'm sure you won't be the first person to ask her. Try asking him though and you might get hit square in the jaw. It depends on the person. It depends on the day. It depends on the rumor.
Not every rumor is alike. There is always some twist to it, some turn of events. Oh she failed her math test because she was out at a party drinking? She might as well be getting extra credit by "helping" the teacher. It sounds horrible. It is horrible, but that is what people do. They take something simple. They take your mistakes and they make it worse. You have no control over it because when people ask you for the truth, they won't believe you because the only thing they do is listen to the lies.
The gossiper teaches gospel. Everyone turns to them for the latest news. Everyone relies on them to tell everyone about what happened. Everyone relies on them for the truth. But do they teach the truth? Their gospel is nothing but a charade for the attention. Their gospel isn't the truth. Their gospel turns and pits friends against each other. It gets people in trouble. It makes friends fight.
Their gospel makes things worse for everyone but the preacher themselves.
