Okay. Never try to explain the internet to your parents. Especially Tumblr. I show my dad this and he's like, "what?". I mentally facepalm and try to explain it.
"It's just what we do."
"Yeah I get the music part, but it's the comments that confuses me."
"HOW? HOW DOES THIS CONFUSE YOU?!"
"Well they are commenting about a post that has nothing to do with those two."
"The Supernatural fandom has taken over Tumblr."
"And?"
"And we contribute to every post. It's gotten so bad people wait for us to comment. Hence the 'wait for it' comments."
"Okay and?"
"And what? A SPN fan commented a gif of Supernatural that related to the post."
"Yes I get that."
"Well what was confusing about it in the first place?"
"The last two. How does a fandom scare someone? How does it never let one down?"
"It - It's just a thing, that we do, okay? We joke around. Tumblr is a fandom place."
"Yes but how does it scare someone?"
*facepalm* "Oh my god dad. One does not simply explain the internet."
"What does Lord of the Rings have to do with this?"
*leaves to room*
-_- Never again, will I ever try to explain the internet. Has anyone else done this and just given up?
