CONTEXT:

November 30th, 2015.
A week after Amity applied for the school.

--

"Amity, hurry! We're leaving in 10 minutes!" Mum shouts from downstairs as I was drying my hair. The wet hair furiously blowing everywhere from the hairdryer made my vision wonky and I did not like drying my hair one bit. But then again, my hair goes all weird when I don't dry it.

Softly singing to the song blasting through my laptop's speakers, I got dressed in a green felt top that was a sort of tank top and I used black skinny jeans on the bottom.

"Save me from myself, don't let me drown." I sang loudly and horribly out of tune to the song that was playing. The song stopped and the playlist ended while I was all ready to jam on to more of my songs.

"Damn playlist, ruining the funk." I muttered as I picked another playlist to play. Another playlist played and I was tying my hair up into a ponytail.

I decided to put on my glasses today. Oh! Which reminds me, I forgot to tell you that I got glasses because I couldn't read my twitter feed anymore. Neither can I read WattPad books anymore in regular size.

I mean I can, but the world just seems a bit blurry without glasses.

My glasses were just a black round-ish frame and thin metal on the side things.

Wow I can totally describe things.

I remembered to bring a notebook and pen so I put that in my small brown backpack that originally belonged to mum but she says it's not her style anymore so she gave it to me.

There was a sound of a bell and the sound of shuffling of feet from downstairs.

I didn't bother to go downstairs because from the sound of shuffling I knew someone got the door.

Makeup wasn't necessary but I would want to look nice in front of the people I was about to meet.

A bit of foundation and concealer never hurts right?

After applying a bit of makeup, covering my dark circles, I went downstairs to grab my worn out converse.

I was calmly walking downstairs when mum called. "Amity! Someone's here to meet you!"

Curious to find out, I rushed downstairs. Only to see my one and only brother.

"Hey." I breathed out after a bit of an awkward silence between us.

After the fight, things were a bit patchy and awkward between us but nothing as bad as my relationship with Dan.

Speaking of Dan, I –surprisingly– did not notice the tall brunette that was sort of hiding from me by being in the kitchen and his head stuck in the fridge.

"Hug?" I asked and opened my arms wide. Phil shyly nods and gave me one of his famous beat hugs.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled quietly. "As I said, it's okay Phil." I assured him once more.

When Phil and I let go of each other my eyes met with Dan's and he sighed.

"Why're you back so early?" I asked Phil, ignoring Dan who just muttered something under his breath.
