From Within the Heart
Deep, inside
Pain, suffering
Loss, emptiness
love, hatred
Underneath the setting sun
I can feel your breath on my cheek
As though it were always there
As though its ready to fade
What are these words you whisper to me?
Why can't I understand?
Is it my blind love for you?
Or is it something untrue?
I lean my face into your palm
but I can't feel anything
I want to be able to live strong
but I can't without you
Underneath the waxing moon
I wait as you sit quietly
Contemplating....something...
What is it that's wrong with you?
I lean forward to touch your skin
But its cold and tough and pasty
Where is your heartbeat now?
Why are you sitting so still?
I stand and wait for your spirit
To guide me through this mess
There is nothing I can do for you
Only our everlasting song remains
Underneath the rising sun
I watch as you disappear
Forever gone from my warm embrace
This is all that we had here
Birth...Life....Death...
It is all only a beginning of a beautiful song.
I dedicate this series:
From Within my Heart to you.
