Hoverboard

Adam POV

"WHAT?!" I shouted, clapping a hand onto the patio tile.

Mitch nodded, "It's global, and we have no idea why. But, we're working on fixing it, I promise." he assured, y/n stepping out of the pool and wrapping herself in a towel.

I sunk a little, thinking about it all. Then I remembered something amazing and jumped out of the pool. Mitch gave me a confused look, watching as I rushed inside and got dressed. I remembered something from a long time ago and wanted to test it out. I ran back downstairs and into the garage, sure enough, there it was. A long, gold and black board leaned against the back wall, a pair of redstone boots next to it. I pulled them on, taking up the board and walking out back.

Mitch saw me and his jaw dropped, "Is that what I think it is??" he asked, walking over.

I nodded, setting it on the ground. I hovered my foot over it, the redstone powering up on the underside of the board. The boosters hovered the board three or four inches above the ground, allowing me to step onto it. I grinned, keeping my balance quite easily. Mitch watched intently, y/n walking out with a smug grin.

"Where'd you get THAT?" she asked, smiling widely.

"I remembered it from an old mod someone made for me. Decided to get one." I grinned, drifting back and forth with a slight shift of weight.

Mitch grinned, "Hey, how well can it fly?" he asked, leaning on the Betty axe.

I shrugged, I honestly had no clue. "I wonder..." I pressed down on the front foot pad, the craft leaning forward a little. It didn't rise.

"Try the back one." Y/n suggested, now sitting in a patio chair.

I nodded, pressing my right foot down slightly. The board moved forward, hovering over the pool. The jets below the board created ripples on the water's surface. "Well, I found forward." I snickered, Mitch shaking his head.

I then got a sort-of-smart-but-stupid idea- and slammed my foot onto the back pad.
