"Have you made up your mind yet? The sooner you accept the offer...the easier everything will be. One life, for the lives of many..." A voice echoed.

"Kitten, wake up." A new voice says and a hand nudges at my arm.

"No..." I groan.

"Wake up." It says more forcefully.

"No... Leave them alone..." I mumble.

"Leave who alone?"

"Dad, tribe, friends..."

"Okay, you seriously have to wake up now." The voice said before a jab came from my side and I jolted up.

"Phoenix?" I look at him, confused on what just happened.

"Are you okay? You were mumbling some strange things in your sleep." He said and put his hand on my shoulder.

"I-I know. I don't know why though..." I said and scratched my head. I looks around and the others were still asleep.

"It's six thirty You're mumbling woke me up."

"Sorry... I'm still confused on...whatever just happened." I shake my head.

"Well," Phoenix stood up. "Now that I'm wide awake, I don't think I'll be able to fall asleep again. Gonna go to the bathroom."

"You mean the bushes?" I called out.

"That's practically the same thing now." He said back. I pulled off the blanket and changed into a new t-shirt and track pants. Then pulled on my hoodie and jacket. So should of brought more clothes. I reach into my pocket and take out the gum packet. I pop one into my mouth and the minty flavour explodes inside. Way more tasty than stupid bread.

I step outside and take a deep breath of the fresh air. Phoenix came by and stood beside me. He entwined our fingers together and I rested my head on his shoulder. "Today is the day." I sighed. "The day we march to our demise."

"Oh, you can march all you want. I'm going to fly to my demise like a boss." He said and I chuckled. We fell silent knowing it was unlikely we'd come back in one piece. "If I die, promise me you'll remember me."

"Even if I get amnesia... Promise me you'll face the world like the strong soldier you are."

"As long as I can put a Hello Kitty sticker on my face."

"Deal." I laugh. I would die to see that. Oh wait... I would have to...

As the others got ready, I sat with my backpack in my arms and growling in the back of my throat. With my eyes fixed on this magnificent pebble across the cave. "What the heck are you do?" Charlie asked and stepped in front of me.

"Playing with my throat. Why?" I continue doing it and okay with the zipper on my bag.

"It sounds funny." He said and swayed on the spot.

"How about this?" I growled at him and smiled.

"Those are some fangs of yours. Minty breath too."

"Thank you." I say and grin for him to see my fangs.

"Charlie! June! Let's go!" Iridescent called to us.

"Coming!" We say in unison.

I have never been more scared in my God damn life. We were following Omega through the forest to the Wolf tribe. Occasionally, I'd spray paint a star here or there. Oh, and my arm, getting better. Starting to get some feeling back in it. Also, it seems that the pain in me is gone now. Guess it finally healed. Somehow, I ended up playing with my feather again. I glanced up at Omega and back at the feather. "Omega." I called out without thinking twice. She turned back at me. "Here." I held the feather out for her. "I want you to have this." I smiled. She was shocked for a second.
