"June!" I turn around to see Iridescent running over to me. Before I know it, she threw her arms around me. "I've missed you so much!"

"Um... It's only been a few hours." I laugh out as she lets go of me.

"I know but it's not the same without you. I think your dad and Phoenix are tied for who misses you more." She said with a wink and nudged my arm.

"Yah? I'll try to visit them as soon as possible." Then I realized something. "Iridescent, why are here exactly? I thought you weren't allowed to leave."

"Well, the others aren't. That Danny guy asked me if I wanted to be your maid of honor." My what? Oh yah, the marriage with Danny... I forgot that was a thing in my life. Ugh... It's just problems on top of problems. Is that what life is? Just a big problem that no can seem to solve> That is so deep.

"Helloooo." Iridescent waved her hand in front of my face.

"Hm? Say that again." I said.

"I asked you if you're okay with all of this. What about Phoenix? I thought there was thing between you two." A lump formed in my throat.

"I thought so too..." I said and pushed my fingers through my hair.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to say it like that." She said and rubbed my arm, the bad one. A tingle went up it like a spark to say 'I'm still here.' "We can always go with the plan we made with the others."

"Which is...?" I usher for her to continue.

"You don't get married and we just fight the Wolves. Chances of us winning are slim but seeing you give up your happiness for is isn't right. If one us goes down, we all go down."

"Thanks. That means a lot, but I can't let you any of you die because of me. I made it my responsibility to protect you guys once we left the tribe. Also, I look good in warm colours." I added before walking away. I didn't mean to be rude if I was. I just wanted some time to myself. Which is why I went on a mini adventure.

It was just me and where my feet wanted to go. Eddison warned me not to leave the tribe or else they would hunt me down. God knows that I don't want my dream to become reality. Then it would become a living nightmare. I swung around a tree as I wandered through the border of the tribe. I picked up little wild flowers that I found and made a tiny bouquet with them. I remember taking adventures like these when I was little. Though, they were around the tiny forest at the park. Not an actual forest.

Rustle. I turned my head to the side. A doe in the distance was munching on some berries on a bush. What are the chances I can get close to it? Will it smell the wolf on me and run for the hills? Whatever. Still gonna try. As soon as I took another step, it peered up and ran away after a second. "For real? Scaredy cat." I mumbled and turned back to where I was walking.

A pair of birds flew over my head. They were tweeted to each other. A smile spread across my face as I remembered Phoenix and Charlie talking with birds. I formed a little ball of magic in my hand. It shone there like a mini sun before I threw it straight up. It hit a tree branch and burst into little sparkles. I looked up and closed my eyes. They rained down on my face and left little kisses on my skin. How I missed living life without needed to worry about everyone dying...

I walked around a bit more before finally decided to head back. As I did, a squirrel caught my attention and my foot caught onto a branch on the ground. I tripped and stumbled onto my hands. "Pff!" I spat out the dirt and leaves that got into my mouth as I got up. "Stupid logs... You're worse than Eddison." I said as I dusted off my pants and checked my hands. My palms were all scratched up now. "Great." I sighed before starting to walk again. This time, I'll watch my steps.
