"Iridescent!" I shout as I scan the cave for her.
"Yes." A voice says behind me.
"Oh Jesus!" I shout and jump back. She laughs at my over reaction.
"Didn't mean to scare you. What you need?"
"I wanted to talk to you about planning. Also, that Elle girl is super freaky."
"True, she's a weird one. You should see her magic though. It's spectacular."
"We are not using your plan." I say knowing what she was hinting at.
"But we could do it! We're strong enough!"
"I want to believe we can do it, but we can't. There's too many of them." She sighed.
"Fine. I talked to some tailors earlier. What kinda dress do you want?"
"I don't want any dress. I want to go home."
"You will. Once we-"
"We are not using your plan!" I shout before she can finish.
"Black it is..." She mumbled.
We discussed on what type of dress I should wear, where the wedding will be, what food will be served, and who would be there while music softly played from my phone. I was gonna to have a long black dress and the wedding would be in the forest. There would be food made by Omega, her dad, and whoever else they chose to help. Thankfully, the others were allowed to come. If not, someone certain Danny would be dead. So would Eddison. Just saying.
"Ugh. Wouldn't it be easier if we had Phoenix blow us up? Done, no more anything to worry about." I groaned and leaned back on the rock wall.
"But the tribe would still be asleep." Iridescent said as she wrote down what size I was.
"I know..." I said and pulled out my phone. "So how have the others been doing? When I went there to find you, Isaiah was talking about some adventure he had as a tortoise."
"They're fine. Not good, but fine. Have everything they need."
"But their freedom." I add.
"They'll be free after the wedding."
"But they won't have their powers." She was silent.
"What do you mean?" She finally said.
"Eddison is going to take all your powers. Omega told me."
"And you couldn't of told me earlier!? Now we really have to unleash some serious butt whooping on them."
"No. No butts will be whooped. As terrible as they are, we can't."
"June, is this about you being scared or something else?"
"I don't understand what your talking about. It's not like I can't decide what I think about Danny or anything." I say and bite my lip back.
"June-"
"I hate every second of this living nightmare. Why do I have to be apart of all of this? My mom is in a coma and I'm here. Being forced to marry someone who's dad has the closest people in my life tied up. Life is so cruel..." I mumble into my knees. Iridescent lightly rubs my back.
"It's just those Beast hormones kicking in." She reassured. Man... I thought I was done with it all. Guess not.
"I really wish that I could punch something right now." I said through gritted teeth.
"How about this?" Iridescent grabbed my backpack and held it in front of her. "Punch like Mike Tyson, girl." She said and I did. The bag made a pff sound. "Nice! Feel better now?"
