Today is it. My wedding. I opened my eyes and immediately felt the arm over me. Phoenix's jacket was all I could see. I know I should get up but it felt so nice and cozy. I yawned and curled myself into more of a ball than I already was.

"Good morning." Phoenix said which scared the heck out of me. I looked up to face him. "Guess who's getting married today?" He smiled.

"Um... I'll just-" I started getting up when Phoenix pushed me back down with his arm. My heart started to beat faster in my chest. "Phoenix I-"

"I'm going to miss being able to hold you like this. I know what you said yesterday, but we both know things will change. Which is okay. I don't care if I'll only be able to see you once a month. As long as you remember us. All the bad and good we've been through." He said with a sigh that sent a shiver up my spine. Then there was the pulling at my heart that told me it was the truth. Things will change. There was still the ritual to deal with because I know that I won't let everyone get the magic sucked out of them.

I swallowed the lump in my throat. "I really should get going." I said and got up. A chill ran through me when I was less a Phoenix arm. "I'll see you there?"

"Won't miss it for the world." He said with himself propped up on his elbows. "Did I not tell you everything will be okay?" He said with a sly smile.

"Only about a million times. Also, if you haven't realised it yet, I'll die if I miss my appointments." His smile turned to frown at that. "I didn't mean to say that." I quickly said.

"It's okay. Best if you confront your fears." He shrugged. I ruffled his bed head then walked over to Iridescent. She was sound asleep with an arm over May. Man, even when we're asleep we're protective of each other.

I gentle grabbed the corner of her blanket then...yanked it straight off! "Yo, Iridescent. Get your butt up and at 'em." I said and she groaned.

"Do you not know how to wake someone up gently?" She whined and sat up.

"Nope. Now get up." I said and pulled her up by her wrists. "Wake up May as well. I'll go do Elle." I said and marched over to her. Elle had her face buried in the pillow she made with her sleeping bag. "Elle." I said and nudged at her with my foot.

"Five more years..." She mumbled and waved her hand.

"Wake up." I got down and pushed harder at her.

"No thank you."

"Hey, there won't be any cookies left if you sleep in." Phoenix called out as he pulled some fresh clothes out of his bag.

"I'm up!" Elle shouted and shot up like a rocket. "I am up." She threw off her blanket and sprung up.

"Will you people shut up?"  Isaiah said. "Can a old man not get his sleep anymore?"

After a quick breakfast, the four of us were walking to Lynx's for my makeup and dress. On the way, we spotted a group of Wolves huddled together. "What's going on there?" I asked and started walking to the commotion.

"Jump that runt!" I heard someone shout as I pushed my way through the crowd. I caught a glimpse of three large wolves that were beating up a much smaller one.

"That's Omega!" I realized and my eyes widened in horror. Blood slowly dripped from her mouth as she struggled to stand back up. "Stop!" I shouted and ran to the very front of the crowd. The largest black wolf snarled at her before pouncing forward. Omega dodged it but lost her footing and collapsed. They circled around her limp body and grabbed her by the neck and tossed her aside like a rag doll.
