In health class we are learning about teen depression. I would like to say to all of you that are facing depression, that there is a way out and I know this because I have been through depression myself. I tried to kill my self from age 11-14. This will probably surprise a lot of you who know me. I've been through a lot of trauma and have seen and been through things most people never have. Now I'm getting counseling and its steadily helping me through my depressed state and my PTSD. Some times your friends and family can't see the symptoms, and you are the only one who can do something about it at the time because you are the only one who can see it. So get help. It's worth all the trouble you can go through to get the help you need. It's not as bad as you may think. When counseling was first suggested to me, I thought "I'm not going to see some stranger that will pester me with personal questions!" But after I tried it, I found that it was a person who really cares about me getting better. So try to do anything you can to get help. Are the things in your life really worth taking your life over? (if you are to the point of suicide)Think of  any friends, any family, or even pets that will miss you if you die. Just do your best to think positively about everything in life. Do a 1-2 week challenge and find something ever day that you are truly grateful for. It could be transportation, animals, heaters, air conditioners or even toilet paper. Well, that's pretty much all I have for today. Good luck and love y'all.
