On Friday night was the homecoming football game at 5 o'clock, and the dance at 8 o'clock. It was my first time going to both of those. It was great. I got asked to the dance by my friend Will (I said yes) and I was pretty nervous because we don't usually, talk. We normally text. And we are both are pretty shy around each other to. So I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. Plus we were going as a date... I've NEVER had a "date" before and I was scared.
Five hours earlier.....
YES!! Schools out!! Was my first though as the bell rang. My best friend Ashley and I planed on meeting each other by her study skills class room. I had study hall, and she had study skills last hour. These two classes are on the same floor and are also right by each other. So, any way, after we met each other at the study skills classroom, we went to go down the stairs to the lobby and meet up with the rest of our friends to walk to the football field. Our school (Esko) was playing the Virginia Blue Devils. So on the way there, Ashley and my friend Chris, were covering my hair with blue and gold spray hair dye and we were all being obnoxious teens as usual. When we got to the football field, we got stuff to eat, that include pop. So we were eating and drinking and being merry when my friend ashley spilled MY pop on MY amazing neon pink nike sweatshirt. So I obviously couldn't wear it when it got colder. So my friend Austin let me use his sweatshirt cuz he wasn't cold. So any ways, my friends Deja, Sydney, Sophia, Maddy and I took dozens of selfies on our other friend Chris's phone. It was hilarious. Then we got bored and decided to go roll down a near by hill. Austin was screaming at me cuz I rolled down it in his sweatshirt. But we all just ended up laughing. Then in the fourth quarter of the game (which we beat them 46-6) we decided to start walking back to school to make it in time for the dance. We actually got there pretty early. On the way there though, Austin put my sweatshirt on which was way to small on him, and started skipping around when all of the sudden, his pants fell off. We laughed so hard and decided to call him Austerina because he was wearing a neon girly sweatshirt, when he normally always wears his black living dead sweatshirt.
When we got to the school, it wasn't time for the dance to start, so we played a mix of hide and go seek and no touch ground tag on the play ground. It was great. But eight o'clock finally came and I had to go meet Will at the clock lobby. I was so nervous, what could I say? We usually don't really talk. So, I started off with an ice breaker, what's up. His response was, not much. I didn't know what else to say. I freeze up when ever I get around him. So we went to were the dance was and my friends and I immediately met up and danced like crazy. It was no dressy dance, it was a sweaty, hot, crazy kind of dance. Will and I never even really danced. I guess he just didn't want to. But I'm alright with that I guess because I don't know how to dance with a guy unless it's swing dancing any way. Swing dancing is soooo much fun! Any way, I eventually danced myself out before the dance was even over and kinda was half asleep for the last part. There was 2 slow songs at the end, so my BFF Ashley and other friend Alex made Will and I dance together for like 10 seconds to one of the slow songs. I didn't quit know what was going on since I was half asleep and could barely stand up. But I still knew at least that I was dancing with someone. Anyway, when the last song played (which was when I see you again) sorry but I can't remember who it's by. We all got in a big circle and had our arms on each others shoulders and swayed back and fourth singing to the song. I told the girl next to me in the circle "I don't know who you are, but I'm tired" and with that, I put my head on her shoulder. She giggled and said she was tired too. It was so perfect. We were all like one huge family.
