CHAPTER 55: An Internal Flame

Nag play pa ulit sila ng isang song, Trumpets by Jason Derulo and the whole time sakin sya nakatingin. Alam nyo yung feeling pag kinindatan kayo or nag smile sainyo yung lead singer? Yung kikiligin ka tas mapapangiti at mapapa-kanta ka? Ganun yung ngyare sakin.

What's weird is he's my boyfriend already and he still makes my toes curl.

After nung song na yun linapitan na nya ko and bumalik na kami sa table namin, yung banda nya asa stage parin and tumutugtog parin. Yung guitarist na nag salita kanina yung naging vocalist nila, wow... Kaya nyang kumanta and mag guitar at the same time.

"Nice job bro." Nag thumbs up si Mark,

"Akala ko kanina nag bibiro ka lang, totoo pala." Sabi naman ni Rey,

"Ganda ng boses mo ha, may future." Biro ni Katie.

Napatingin ako kay Shane and he was just smiling, alam nila na ka-kanta sya?

"Wait, you guys knew?" Tanong ko sakanila and umoo sila.

"Gusto kasi kitang i-surprise eh." Sabi ni Shane sa tabi ko, "Nagustuhan mo ba?" Taning nya.

I smiled at him "Oo naman, ang galing mo nga eh. Di mo man lang nakwento sakin na kumakanta ka pala at may banda ka."

"I did tell you, baka nakalimutan mo lang. Nung 12 yrs old kasi ako mahilig akong kumanta, sakto marunong tumugtog yung mga childhood friends ko so we decided to form a band and viola. Hot-lead-singer-shane is born, and it's my dirty little secret." Kindat nya sakin and I just rolled my eyes and laugh.

Na-alala ko tuloy nung nag Dj sya sa bora, ang hot nyarin tignan nung time na yun... And he paid attention to me... Out of all the girls in bora he paid attention to me.

"But seriously, ginulat mo talaga ako marunong ka na ngang mag Dj pati ba naman kanta?" Heartthrob talaga ang dating eh.

"It was useful before... You know..." Bulong nya and I already get what he's saying so I rolled my eyes again, natawa sya and drape his arm on my shoulders "Before Melissa, I'm a change man now."

"Sure you are." Biro ko and he looked at me in the eyes "Sa dami-dami ng hirap na napagdaanan ko I'm still here, because I want to be here. Doesn't that tell you something?"

"It does." I said in almost a whisper, "I'm crazy in love with you Melissa." He smiled at me and I felt myself blushed.

"Anytime you guys would love to stop your public display of affection would be nice." Banat naman ni Rey so si Shane umupo sa tabi ko while I rolled my eyes at him.

"Yan nanaman yung pagiging kuya mo eh." Asar ni Mark, "That's how big brother acts." He tipped the bottle of beer to Mark before taking a swig.

"Minutes lang yun Rey, talagang naka burn na dyan sa utak mo na kuya kita noh?" Tanong ko and he said "of course I am." In a matter-of-fact tone.

"Okaaaay, you guys nandito tayo to have fun! Kasi nakakamatay ang finals week, so how bout we do shot or dare?" Ngiti ni Katie saming lahat.

"I'm down." Sabi ko, "I'm in too." Sabi din ni Shane.

"Count me in." Sabi ni Rey, "I just so happens to love shot or dare." Ngiti naman ni Mark and I saw Katie blush a little.

Kumuha si Mark ng empty bottle and placed it on the table, pinahiga nya yung bottle tas nag spin sya to test if its good.

"Okay so sinong mag start?" Tanong ni Mark and I raised my hand, "I'll spin first." Ngiti ko and leaned forward to spin the bottle.

Lahat kami naka tingin lang sa bottle, it slowly slows down and the neck of the bottle was pointed at none other than Katie.
