Chapter 22

Len POV

"Gumi... Why are you crying?" I asked. Her beautiful green eyes looked up to me and she wiped her tears away.
"I-I'm sorry I didn't realise." She said.
"No! It's fine... It's just other than Rin's death I don't think you've cried a lot." I said. We where still in a hug and she looked at me.
"Gumi?" I said softly. "Why have you been avoiding me. I mean we broke up and if you don't like me that's fine. But still, I miss having the conversations we had, sure when we weren't together we where distant but now we don't even talk, yeah you haven't been in school but even when you were. And even today."
"You were busy with Tei." She said her voice wobbling.
"So?" I asked "I can always make time for you Gumi." I said smiling at her softly. She hugged me tighter and I felt my heart pounding. I'm supposed to be with Tei , why does my heart leap when I'm with Gumi?

Gumi stared at me sadly and her tears started falling a lot more.
"Len there's something that I need to tell you," Gumi said and paused"about Ri-" she was cut off by a honk.
"Lenny-Kun!" I heard a familiar voice say. Tei.
"I'm sorry Gumi, I've got to go, il talk to you later." I say annoyed.
She nods and waves.

Gumi POV

I start walking home. What the hell was I thinking? I can't just go around and hug Len like that! Am I seriously that stupid?

I sigh and look down at my feet as I walk into an alleyway. I immediately got a text.
"Watch your back Megpoid... I'm always there, even now..."

I looked at the message and started having a slight anxiety attack. I quickly walked out of the alleyway and decided to walk in the street light near houses.

'Who the hell are you?' I think to myself.

That's when my phone rang. It was an unknown number.

I started panicking slightly, could this be them?

I slowly got out my phone and answered it.
"H-Hello?" I asked.
"Hi Gumi!" A familiar voice said. It was Master.
"O-oh! Hi Master!" I said.
"I need to speak to you about something very important, I know its late but can you please go to my lab, and please don't bring anyone." He said. I nodded dumbly forgetting that he couldn't see my face.
"Yes of course!" I said. With that we said our goodbyes and I walked to his lab which was in the offices about a five minute walk from where I was.

I knocked on the door and Len answered. I came in and blushed slightly. Geez Ten minutes ago we where hugging....
I ignored that fact and looked up at him. "Hey, um do you know why master wants us here?" I asked. Len shook his head slightly.
"He said he refuses to tell me until your here!" He said. I nodded.

We went to where Master was stood.
"Ah! Gumi! It's nice to see you! How have you been?'
An emotional mess.
" Fine thank you!" I smiled happily.
"Okay, I brought you guys here for one reason. I think I've found a way to bring back Rin."
