Chapter 24

Gumi POV

When I woke up light was shining into the white room. I felt something warm holding me and I turned my head to see Len there. I felt my face go bright red.
"L-Len?" I ask. He was still asleep however my voice made his eyes open. It takes a moment for him to realise that he was holding onto me. His face went red as he let go.
"S-Sorry Gumi! I kinda fell asleep... It got cold so I needed a way to stay warm. I wasn't plan-"
"What time is it?" I asked.
"10 am..."
"Gahh!" I said and shot right up. "I'm late for my maths exam!" I said grabbing my coat
"Gumi..."
"Sorry Len I need to go-"

I was cut off by a kiss stopping my thoughts. I pulled away.
"Len... What?" I asked
"Dell told me everything. He told me about the threats you've been getting. He knows whose sending them. He said to stop the threats you need to make Kaito and Sakine get back together."
"Len... Why are you telling me this...?"I asked
" Gumi, you never told me you where getting threats... Is that why you backed away from everyone?" He asked.
"Len I don't want to talk about it." I said.
"Yeah? Well I do. Why didn't you tell anyone?" He asked.

I ignored him and looked away.

Because it would get worse. You would go rage mode, miku would get upset, Rin would turn into Godzilla, Gumo would get his gun out, Meiko... Well I couldn't trust her, Kaito has his own problems, Flower would drown it with some scary music about devils and something to do with the fact that drugs never work, neru... Well... And Momo? I didn't want to worry her.

And like hell are the teachers going to help.

"Gumi?" He said.
"Listen Len can we please just drop it?" I ask
"No! We can't just drop it Gumi! We could have all helped you! All of us! You didn't need to push us away! Why the hell did you do that?"
"BECAUSE WHEN I DIDNT PUSH YOU GUYS AWAY RIN DIED!" I yelled now in tears.

I can't do this anymore. I'm trying to do what's best for everyone and I can't take it. Why can't I just live a normal cheerful life?

I felt warm arms wrap around my waist and someone's head nuzzling into my shoulder.
"You idiot." He muttered.
"L-Len...?"
"Stop blaming yourself. Rin didn't die because of you. She died becau-"

Suddenly the door slammed open and in came Mayu, Yukari, Yuma, Merli, Miku, Miki, Meiko and Lapis.
"Gumi! We heard from Dell you where in hospital!" Meiko said "Are you okay?"

There's two differences between Meiko and Sakine. Meiko wears different clothes, and she actually cares.

That's when Yuma slammed Len into the wall and that caused our whole room to shake.
"The hell are you doing here?! You where the one who put her here to start off with you moron!" He yelled.
"Knock it off Yuma! I didn't do anything!" He said "or on purpose at least!"
"Really? So you just accidentally hit Gumi and knocked her out?" Yu!a said.
"Yuma please leave it... Its the truth."
"Eehhh? How can someone knock someone out by accident?" Miki asked.
"Yukari-chan is confused as well."
"There was a fight, and I got in the way." I said.
"Dell never told us about a freaking fight. Gumi your an idiot sometimes." Flower said rolling her eyes slightly "Although, I'm glad your okay." She said softening her eyes.
"Yukari-chan thinks we should leave you guys. Yukari-chan only came to check on you." Yukari said.
"Yeah! I agree with Yukari." Merli said glaring at Yuuma.
"Heheh! I'm glad your okay Gumi!" Lapis said.
"Yeah! And you and Len should totally hook up again!" Miku whispered (more like yelled) in my ear.I felt my face flush.
"Bye!" Miki called as she dragged the rest of them away.

" where were we?" Len asked
"I'm going to my maths exam." I said as I got my stuff and put it into my bag.
"Gumi, just stop a moment."
"Len I really can't. I have to do this exam its important." I said as I looked at my hospital clothes I was wearing. "Now, could you please leave whilst I get changed?" I asked politely.
"No." He said
"What?"
"I'm not leaving here until we finish our conversation." He said looking at me. I rolled my eyes.
"There's nothing to finish and if you aren't going to leave eim changing in the-"

He pulled me right next to him before I could finish my sentence. "Your not going anywhere either Gumi. Not until I've told you what I wanted to tell you!" I he says.

I roll my eyes and raise an eyebrow at him ready to go on.
"I love you Gumi, and I know you didn't kill Rin. Even if you did I would still freaking love you."
"And Tei?" I asked
"She was sort of a distraction, to get my mind off of you." He said.

I looked down.
"Still.... I don't deserve to have your love... Your freaking Len kaganjne and I'm just plain old Gumi, I'm pathetic, I'm weak and I can't help anyone... Rin's scream as she got hit by... When she dies that stays with me all the time and I just... I ki-" I couldn't finish the sentence i was in Lens arms, I was on the floor now with him hugging me tightly.
"It's okay Gumi... It's okay." He said stroking my hair.
"I love you Len..." I mumble.
"I love you too Gumi, and no matter what happens you are mine. And I will always love you." He said with a kiss on my forehead.
