Chapter 23

Gumi POV

"What?!" Len and I asked in unison.
"There's a way that we can bring Rin back." Master repeated. I was too shocked to even say anything.
"How?" Len asked.
"There are two possible ways of bringing Rin back, one of them is use her old body and power her up, or make an exact copy of Rin and power up that version. Of course using her old body would leave the scars that she had after the accident." He said. "Rin wasn't human, so its possible to bring her back." He said as he clenched his fist.

Master and his wife are unable to concieve a baby, so to him, we are his children, he sees us as humans and will do anything to protect us. He hates not calling us humans and will flip out if anyone calls us software or programs.

"What's the catch?"Len asked.
" What?" Master asked
"You and I both know its impossible to bring Rin back without some complications and difficulties, so what's the catch?"

Master looked down at his feet.
"That's why I brought you two here. There's a high chance that if we do bring Rin back she won't have her memories. And there's a 87.9 % chance she won't retrieve them. It would be like starting a new vocaloid." He said. " I want you two to help decide weather we bring her back or not."

I stated out the window. Rin back. The Lovable Rin that we all knew would be back again. Wouldn't that count for something?"
"No." A voice said calmly but tense which brought me out of my thoughts.
"Len?" I asked a little surprised.
"You wouldn't be bringing Rin back,you'd be bringing a look-alike. The Rin we know shared the same memories as us." He said. I looked down and saw his hands where balled up in fists and his knuckles were white.
"Len..." I muttered "I know what your saying, but surely denying Rin a chance of life isn't right just for our selfish needs."
"I'm not being selfish. Think about it. Memories make us who we are, therefore if Rin has no memories and people start bombarding her with them she will get confused. Therefore for all of her life she won't be the bubbly, innocent girl we know, she'd be quiet and shy." He said avoiding eye contact with both of us. "Now if you excuse me. I'm going to go home and get some rest." He says. As he exits the room abruptly.

I look at Master and nod my head at him to say my goodbye and then run after Len.

He wasn't anywhere I could see. Why is he being like this? Surely he wants his little twin sister back?

I walked in the way of his house and couldn't find him. I walked into an alleyway and that's when I heard footsteps behind me.
"Len?" I asked. A small chuckle came out of this person. It was dark therefore I couldn't see him.
"Nice try Megpoid." He said.
"Honne?" I asked slightly worried "what are you doing following me?" I asked.

He just chuckled.
"H-Honne?"

There was silence as his footsteps got louder meaning he was coming closer. I started walking backwards and I hit something hard. Another person.

"Oh what a lovely surprise to see you!" A female voice said.
"M-Meiko?" I asked.
"Yes, although not the Meiko you know of. I'm her little sister Sakine Meiko." She said. I stepped backwards away from her.
"Wh-what?" I said "wh-what do you guys want?" I asked.
"We need a little favour from you. We want you to get rid of that pathetic girl Miku and get Kaito back with me."
"Wait... So your the Meiko Kaito was talking about?" I asked.
"Wow, for an intelligent girl you sure are dumb Megpoid." Dell smirked. Meiko laughed.
"Yes." She said.
"I'm sorry Sakine and Honne, but I can't do what you want me to do." I said.

There was a pause and I caught a glimpse of Meiko under the moonlight.
"That's a real shame... Maybe we need to take one of your other friends for a trip down death lane." She grinned.

Other friends?

"You mean... You killed Rin?" I asked.
"There we go! She finally got it!" Meiko laughed "its a shame, my sister looks up to you. I don't know why, your so stupid." She said. "Yes I killed Rin, I drove the car and aimed right for that pathetic girl. " Dell said

Her words where so cruel and her voice sent shivers down my spine.

"You..." A voice said from behind Meiko. I looked over and caught sight of blonde hair. "You killed my sister?" He asked.

Len?

"Len? I see you heard us." Dell smirked.

With that Meiko got pushed to the side and Len ran straight for Dell.

With that Dell pushed me in front of him with a grin. Len punched me in the face really hard and everything went black.
