Gumi x Len: my ex-bestfriends brother

Chapter 31

Yuma POV

I looked over at Dell.
"Going somewhere are we?" He asked.
"What the hell do you want?" I ask him angrily.
"What's with the tone? You sound pissed off." He grinned stepping closer go me.
"Ha? Really? Are you really going there? Your girlfriend almost killed my Girl-"
"Your what?" Dell smirked.
"My friend." I muttered.
"You where going to say Girlfriend." He grinned "Has little Yuma got a crush?" He asked.
"Shut up Dell and just tell me what the hell you are doing here!" I say feeling embarrassed, angry and mildly scared. It's obvious this guy is dangerous.
"I'm just here to make sure my friend is okay after what had happened." He grinned. "Of course I wouldn't want him to be upset or anything."
"Yeah? well I was just about to leave so, let's talk later." I said and walked away from him.
"Of course after Yukari and Gumi are hurt, you'd bound to be traumatised."
"Gumi?!"

Gumi POV

I woke up with a sudden jolt and saw that I was resting on Len's lap.
"I see you're awake." He grinned. I yawn slightly and smile.
"You were muttering stuff in your sleep." He grinned.
"Really? Want kind of stuff?" I asked curiously.
"Len, you are the greatest boyfriend in the world. I love you dearly!" He smirked. I went bright red.
"I-I didn't say that!" I protested. He shook his head and grinned.
"No you didn't, but the look on your face was priceless." He smirked. I rolled my eyes and punched his arm playfully.
"You idiot!" I said and rolled my eyes

About 5 minutes later Yuma came rushing in with bruises all over his face.
"Gumi!" He yelled surprised. "Thank God you're okay." He said. I looked at him a little confused.
"Yuma! Of course I'm okay! But why the heck are you covered in bruises?" I asked.
" I met with Dell." He muttered.
"You did what?!" Len shouted.
"Well I didn't mean to! He showed up at my house... he was trying to pick a fight." He muttered.
"Yuma... what the hell did you do?!" I said now slightly worried. There was silence. "Yuma!" I yell.
"Nothing! I didn't do anything! We got in a small fight, he then decided to get lost." He muttered.
"Was that it?" I asked. He shook his head.
"No, he mentioned something." He muttered.
"What did he say?" Len asked. Yuma looked directly at me and looked away.
"Yuma?" I asked a bit more calmer.
"Something about you being next." He sighed.

Silence once again filled the room. Suddenly the door of Yukari ' s room opened and the nurse came out with a smile.
"Oh! I see there are more of you! Yukari is a very lucky girl to have so many friends." The nurse said. She smiled and then walked off.

The footsteps carried away down the hallway and I look at them.
"I'm going to get some air." I mutter quietly.
"Gumi!" I heard them both call. I look at them and smile.
"I'm fine, it's just a bit stuffy." I say in my usual happy tone. They look at each other and nod.

I walk outside and sigh. What the hell did I do to deserve this?

No, what the hell did anyone do to deserve this? Rin got murdered, Yukari got stabbed, I'm gonna get- well goodness knows what's going to happen to me.

But why? I mean I doubt this is all for Kaito. There has to be some other reason why this is happening. And Dell, I would understand if Sakine made all the threats... but it's always Dell...

I hear some footsteps behind me and I immidiatley turn around. There stood Len with a soft smile on his face.
"You scared me." I said quietly.
"I'm sorry." He said "Are you okay?" He asked. I nodded.
"Yeah, I think so." I say quietly.
"Listen Gumi, nothing bad is going to happen, I promise I won't let it happen, I'll be there all the time if I have to, I promise you that." He says. I shake my head.
"No, I don't want that, enough people are hurt. The last thing I want is my boyfriend being one of those people, I don't want you to have to get involved anymore then you are already." I say.
"Well, I'm not just going to standby and let him - or anyone hurt you." He said.
"Look, either way, Dell has made a threat, I'll deal with it when I deal with it." I mutter.

Len just stared it me in disbelief.
"Are you crazy? You're seriously just going to sit back and wait for him, or Meiko to attack you?!" He said in an annoyed tone.
"If she attacks me." I say quietly.
"What do you mean if? Why the hell do you think she wouldn't Gumi?! She killed my sister, she's stabbed Yukari! No offence, I love you and all, but sometimes you're really naive." He mutters.
"Well if she attacks me, I'm no use to her." I say tuthfully "seeing as I'm probably the closest to Miku at the moment there's no way she can attack, sure she can use flower, Neru, SeeU or Momo, but their not that close, I guess she could use Mayu too but Mayu would go all." I do a fake girly giggle "you were so wrong to mess with my friends Meiko-chan, after all I'm not scared of death. But you should be!" I say. Len shakes his head laughing and I look all him with a smile a little confused. "What's so funny?" I ask.
"That impression was perfect, geez!" He said still laughing his head off. I roll my eyes and giggle slightly with him.

I'm glad I have people like Len around me, he can always brighten the mood up, and he doesn't stay angry for long.

There was a small moment of silence before he smiled softly at me.
"Hey Gumi?" He asked. I nodded.
"It's going to be okay." He said.

He then placed his hand on my face and his lips met mine. I felt my face go red.

Even though we've been dating and have kissed each other before I still manage to blush around him.

That idiot.

He smiles slightly.
"You're so cute when you blush!" He says. I roll my eyes. And then a thought pops up in my head.
"Dell likes Miku!"
