5 ❣ Friendship Starts With Extending A Hand

The next day at school, Soonyoung and I were playing a game. We were always the early birds of our class so it was only the two of us in class, forty minutes before class would even start. It was fun to at least have Soonyoung alone to myself like now.

"Truth or dare?" he asked me, grinning. He plopped a gummy worm into his mouth and chewed slowly, still wearing that grin on his face.

"Dare," I replied, grinning back. It wasn't such a good idea to pick truth when playing with Soonyoung. He might ask me who I like and I'll have to try my best to ask him to stop asking me. I also didn't want him to get a clue.

"Oho~ Someone's daring enough to pick dare," he replied, plopping another gummy worm into his mouth then clapping his hands together. "Ja, I dare you to... prank call one of your friends."

"Mwo?" I asked, blinking at him. "Waeyo? Yah, I don't want to. Don't make me."

"Yah, Seo Min Jae, you picked dare and you have to do the dare!" Soonyoung pressed on, laughing his lively laugh.

"Ani! Shilro! Change the dare," I said, crossing my arms and pouting at him. I didn't want to have to use aegyo, but Soonyoung left me no choice. I know for a fact Soonyoung can't resist my aegyo, and I am yet to find out why. I have a few speculations, but they just end up giving me another false hope.

"Fine, fine." Soonyoung gave up with that dare and thought of another one. See? He couldn't resist my aegyo for some reason. After a while, he said, "I dare you to... take a silly selca and send it to me."

"Mwo? Why?" I asked again.

"It's a dare, Min Jae. You do not question it," he replied with another grin as he grabbed a gummy worm from its plastic. "These are very addictive and chewy. Do you want one, Min Jae?"

I shook my head. I sighed and took out my phone and tapped on 'camera'. I glanced to see if Soonyoung was looking, and he was. I asked him, "Can you look away for a while? I don't feel comfortable with you watching me like that."

Soonyoung laughed and turned away, his attention directed to the window at the far end of the class, which showed the outsides of school.

While he was staring outside, I quickly took the silly selca and sent it to Soonyoung using Line. I even sent an emoji, which was Brown shaking his head. I love this bear so much. I just want a teddy bear of him but I knew it was really expensive. The last time I checked, it costed 75, 000 won.

Soonyoung's phone vibrated on the table and he quickly snatched it to check the picture I sent to him. He looked at it and began laughing. He said, "It's cute."

I ended up blushing and looked the other way.

"You pass the dare. Now it's your turn to ask me," Soonyoung said, putting his phone back down on the table and grabbing another gummy worm.

"Hmm... Truth or dare?" I asked him.

"Truth. I don't want you to get revenge on me." He grinned. "You can get revenge on me another time, Min Jae. I don't want to die on the same day as I made you do that dare."

"Truth... truth..." I tried thinking of a truth to ask him. But to be honest, the only thing my mind kept repeating was: Who is your crush? I wanted to ask him that, but I didn't know whether if I had the courage to.

"Nothing to ask?"

I pretended that I was still thinking of a question. I really couldn't think of any other question because one question blocked all the possible other questions.
