"Annyeonghaseyo, Seo Min Jae-sshi!" greeted Suri when I entered the cafe. Secret Station is always busy, no matter what time of the day. I sometimes pass by here after school and see the business of the store. "Glad to see you're back! How was the trip?"
"It was... unforgettable," I answered, smiling at her as I put my bag down and picked up my Secret Station apron. I put it on and washed my hands. "What should I do first?"
"Joshua's on his break, so you can make the drinks. Minhyuk will assist you," Suri informed me, cleaning up the tables. She then wiped her hands on her apron and quickly stood behind the counter, where a customer appeared.
"One green tea latte, please," the customer ordered.
"Nae," Suri replied, touching the monitor next to her. There were beeping sounds and in no time, the sound of a receipt was heard. She turned around and gave me the order. "Make it well, okay?"
"I'll work hard," I said, bowing as I grabbed the ingredients and began making it. After reading the instruction, I began each process carefully and finally made the drink. I hope it tasted good. I handed it to Suri and she gave it to the customer.
"Enjoy," she said, putting her hands on her stomach and bowing. She turned around and gave me a smile. "Good work."
"Thanks," I said, smiling back at her as I waited for another customer to come so I could make their drinks. Minhyuk was just standing near me, watching as I made the drinks. I don't know if I saw correctly, but there was a satisfied grin when I glimpsed at Minhyuk.
Customers kept flooding into the shop that it came to a time that Minhyuk, Joshua and I had to make the drinks before the customers get tired of waiting. The chaos didn't stop then because more people just kept coming in. Secret Station was just that famous.
It was the last customer and it was almost six o'clock. I had to get back home before dinner, or my mom will be suspicious of me. My shift finally ended and I removed my apron. I folded it properly and put it away.
"Yo, Min Jae," Joshua said as I grabbed my bag, about to leave.
"Yeah? Do you have something to say? I have to be home soon so—"
Joshua handed me a light blue envelope.
"What's this?" I asked him, taking it from him. On the front, there was my name carefully written there.
"It's for you. Though, I can't say who it's from because even I don't know. I was just told to pass it to you," he told me, shrugging. "What's inside, huh? A confession letter?"
"Ha-ha. Very funny, Hong Jisoo," I said, laughing sarcastically. I stared at the letter before putting it into my bag. "I'll read it at home."
"Tell me what's written inside. I'm curious," Joshua said, following me out of Secret Station.
I looked at him before replying, "No."
"Why not?" Joshua pouted. "You made me sad! I'll complain to my mommy!"
"Don't do aegyo, Hong Jisoo. I can easily see your fingers curling up from it already." I pointed at his hands. His fingers were already curling up.
Joshua just grinned sheepishly and said, "Okay, I'm going back inside now. Gotta keep working. Do tell me who sent you that."
"I'll tell you when it starts raining gumdrops, Joshua," I told him before running off to get home. I better not be late because of Joshua. If I am, I am so going to cut his head off.
