8 ❣ A Line of Love

"Can you stay back today to work on our project?" I asked Jihoon once he came into class. He was officially the third comer of the class. One of the top three early birds now.

"He can't, Min Jae," Soonyoung answered for Jihoon instead.

"Waeyo?" I asked, turning to face Soonyoung. "Why can't he?"

A smirk was form on Soonyoung's lips. "Because he's going with me to play basketball. There's a tryout today and I'm bringing Jihoon."

"Really? That's good!" I said, smiling a wide smile. I turned to Jihoon and said, "That's great that you're making friends, Jihoon. Don't be too cold to them, okay?"

Jihoon stretched a small smile and sat at his seat and slept again. Aigoo, this boy will just keep on sleeping, huh?

"We can work on our project tomorrow, Min Jae," Soonyoung assured me, patting me on the head. "So, what are you going to do after school?"

"Most likely to hang out with Mihee and Nabi," I replied. I didn't mention Solji because lately, she's been avoiding and ignoring us. Nabi said to give it a few days, but I feel like we should start investigating already.

There's something she's hiding, and I want to find out in order to help her with it. If it was really personal, she should at least say so instead of screaming in our faces and ignoring us like this. She should at least ask someone for a helping hand, right? I'm glad enough to give it to her if only she would ask.

"Is Suin still meeting that boy often?" Soonyoung suddenly asked, screen locking his phone then placing it on top of his book on his table and then faced me.

"You mean Yunho?" I clarified. "Yeah. They met again that Saturday. Remember when you found Suin and I at that shop?"

"He was there?" Soonyoung suddenly sounded excited. "Wah, I somehow ship the both of them. They make a cute pair."

"I agree," I said, nodding my head. I wonder if he was secretly shipping me and him like I did. Or... did that just sounded desperate? It just seems like I'm hopeless in love, no matter how hard I try to understand it.

People have experience as they grow, but I'm just that someone who's never moved another step. I just stayed where I am like the water. Never moving. What was wrong with me?

As early as now, I should gather up my courage to confess to him before time runs out and we're already heading off to university.

"And why are we staying back at school?" I asked Nabi and Mihee as we headed to another section of our school. I knew where we were going, but I didn't exactly know why.

"I'll tell you guys something later," Mihee simply replied, dragging the both of us to the basketball court.

"Mihee, something smells fishy. You're dragging us to a basketball court where there are only boys..." Nabi gasped. "Do you like someone?"

Mihee's cheeks started showing colour and then it became obvious.

Nabi and I looked at each other and smirked.

"You like someone, don't you?" Nabi continued on asking.

I wanted to ask too but I was afraid of something. Did she started seeing Soonyoung? What if she and Soonyoung end up going out with each other? I was afraid and scared that I'll be the one hurting, but there was no one who could really help me in the end.
