i woke up to the smell of bacon cooking so i got up and headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

once i was done with that, i made my way downstairs to see my best friend cooking food and dancing around the kitchen listening to music.

"morning!!" i shouted scaring the cheese balls out of her and it was pretty funny.

she rolled her eyes and went back to cooking.

i walked over to her and hugged her from behind. me and her were just that close so she didn't find weird or anything.

"i love you best friend" i said.

"you only love me when i cook for you" she said.

"k, now you know that's only half true" i said.

"breakfast is ready" she said laying a plate of food in front of me.

i immediately dug in and she did the same.

after breakfast, we headed upstairs to get ready for school.

i went to go take a shower and everything else then went to do my makeup.

i grabbed a black t-shirt that said 'le noire' in white letters and a pair of ripped white jeans. i laid out a pair of adidas originals/superstars.

i did my makeup then put on my outfit.

i had still had time since it was only seven thirty and i had about fifteen more minutes so i sat down at the island and texted nate.

surprisingly, we hit it off great but i wasn't the only who hit it off great with someone.

kayden, she seemed like she was having a ball last night with that blonde kid she was talking to.

speaking of her, she jogged downstairs wearing the same thing as me but just a little different.

after flora got out the shower, i hopped in right after her.

i picked out my outfit then started on my makeup.

i got dressed up in a black shirt that said 'le noire' in white letters, a pair of army green skinny jeans and a pair of
adidas originals.

once i was done, i got my phone off the charger taking both the phone and the charger with me then headed downstairs.

"are we trying to be twins now?!" i said looking at flora who was wearing the same thing as me but she had white jeans.

"i guess we are" she said.

we linked our arms together then headed out the door.

on the car ride to school, we had to pick up my backpack but we made it to school on time since school didn't start until eight twenty.

"so nate told me that the blonde boy you were talking to last night comes here. actually he supposed to be here with nate" she said which got my attention.

"sammy. sammy is his name" i said smiling at the thought of his name.

"yeah, well sammy is supposed to be attending here" she said.

"ew. when you say 'attending here', it sounds like we're some preppy type of school" i said making her laugh.

"anyway, you know what i'm trying to say" she said as we approached our lockers.

"so, you gonna get you a new boyfriend" she said facing me while i opened my locker.

"if i did, i wouldn't be the only one" i said shoving my books in my locker.

"shut up" she said slightly pushing me while blushing.

"what? i'm serious." i said then slammed my locker shut.

we talked more about the sammy and nate subject before she made her way to her class as soon as the bell rung.

i did my usual thing, which was getting water from the fountain.

i felt a presence behind me.

i turned around and came face to face with sammy as he smirked at me.

"i guess we meet again" he said.

"you sound like shakespeare" i commented which caused him to laugh.

"thanks, i guess i do sound like a four hundred and fifty year old dude who wrote romeo and juliet" he said which made me chuckle.

the final bell rang.

"guess that's my cue to go, see you later" i said waving to him.

"wait!!" he said walking up to me.

"can you help me find room twenty three?" he asked showing me his schedule for a brief second.

it finally dawned on me that me and sammy have first period together.

"we have the same class, follow me" i said grabbing his hand and leading him into history with me.

"ms.delamare, you are late once again. what's your reasoning?" my history teacher, ms.briggs, asked.

"i was showing my friend around campus, ms.briggs" i said.

"try to be early next time" she said then i walked over towards the middle of the classroom making sammy sit next to me.

after first period, i found out that me and sammy have the same periods then he has 5-7 without me and then we have eighth period together.

i walked to the lunch room with sammy and we met up with flora and the rest of our friends.

i introduced sammy to the group then we talked to each other for the rest of lunch and every so often i would catch flora giving me the wiggly eyebrows and she would mouth 'we'll talk later'.
