i looked closely at all of the rings trying to find the perfect one for kayden. none of them were catching my eye and it was nerve wrecking because looked like they would fit kayden because none of them looked like something she'd wear.
"yo, what about this one" johnson calls over to me pointing a nice looking ring that kayden might like but i highly doubt she'll wear it. "so is this a promise or engagement ring" gilinsky asked looking at the different pieces of jewelry. "it was supposed to be a promise ring but i'm starting to want it to be an engagement ring" i tell them not taking my off any of them.
"ah, young sammy is only eighteen and wants to be tied down already" johnson jokes in a british accent. "nah, that's the thing, it feels like we're not even dating" i said taking my eyes off the rings over at them. they both wore confused faces, "then why are you still with if it doesn't feel right" gilinsky asks taking a seat on one of the chairs in the store. "no, not like that, i mean, it feels more like we're are best friends with, ya know, this kissing and all that couple-y shit" they nod their heads in an understanding way and we walk out of the store not having any luck with this store.

"really?!" i asked in shock covering my mouth trying not to laugh too hard as vanessa her head and brings out her phone. "want me to show you" i nodded my anxiously waiting while she scrolls through her photo gallery to find the picture of sam she was telling me about.
for someone unknown reason, a pinch of jealousy ran through me at the thought of vanessa having pictures of my boyfriend on her phone. "here we go" she hands her phone over the to me and i take it into my hands.
just seeing sam as a little brown haired baby standing naked in a baby bath tub was beyond hilarious to me. i showed flora the picture and she busted laughing. she quickly hushed up when people in the store started looking at her.
"all this shopping has gotten me hungry, what about you guys" we nod our heads then make our way out the store and over to her car which is across and down the street but it's not that far of a walk.
we got in and out of nowhere vanessa blurts out, "i don't know why, but i have this small urge to get a belly button piercing" i don't make anything of it for a few seconds but then it hits me and i start to think of how cute it actually would be to get mine redone.
"i'm in" i tell then we turn our attention to flora who is sitting quietly in the back not saying a word. she hasn't said much and it worried me because she's never this quiet. ever. out of her whole seventeen almost eighteen years, she has never been this quiet and its weirding me out. where is my usual loud best friend at.
"yeah, sure, you guys can. i don't really want to" she says quietly then leans her head back up against the window looking out of it not even acknowledging my stares. i definitely need to talk to her.
we came to stop and we parked in front of a tattoo and piercing parlor. i got out and walked inside to a see only a few people in the front waiting to be helped and one receptionist at the front desk.
"hi ladies, what can we do for you" the receptionist, who's name tag read; angelina, asked. "we're looking to do a belly button piercing. i have mine done but i need it redone since it closed up" i explained and she nodded writing down something on the paper next to her.
"alright, romero will be with you in just a sec" i nodded then headed over towards flora taking a seat next to her while vanessa said what she wanted. "what's wrong with you" flora looked up from her phone and over at me. "nothing" she lightly shrugged going back to her phone and ignoring me.
"kayden, romero's ready for you" angelina called me from the front desk and out came a guy in a black thermal with his arms dressed in a tattoo sleeve. he was extremely was extremely attractive but he wasn't my type and i had sam anyway. "sup" he nodded his head in my way then led me to the back.
he instantly started to work on me making small talk with me until it was finished. once he was done, i sat up slowly trying not to move too much.
i walked out and made my way over to flora while waiting for vanessa to finish up with her peircing.
after vanessa finished, we payed for our peircings then decided to go to dinner to finish off the day so we could go back to the boys.

after an unsuccessful day of engagement ring shopping, me, the jacks and nate decided that we would head out to in n out to eat. "so you've been looking for this special ring, i'm surprised that young sam isn't talking about having kids" johnson says taking a bite out of his burger. "we haven't even moved in together" i tell them and the jacks look kind of surprised but not nate because he knows what's been going on. "they way you talk about her pretty much sounds like you guys do love together" i just shook my head at the nonsense.
i'm not saying that i don't want to move in with kayden, it's just that we've never came across the moving in step. we've only really talked about how it feel if we were married and i like that idea even if we're too young.
"no kids. point. blank. period." i finalized finishing my food and throwing my garbage away.
