"i'ma let you know and keep it simple. tryna keep it up don't seem so simple. i fludged two naughty girls 'fore i saw you. and you gon' have to do it at my tempo" i sung along to the made up clean version of the hills while driving since i had my mom and grandma in the car although it's my grandma who doesn't like the cursing and i don't feel like getting cursed out in spanish.
my aunt and cousins were supposed to come but said they didn't want to intrude and would meet him another time.
i pulled into his driveway then got out the car. it was my first being here myself since i always see him at nate's house.
"babe, you made it!" sam said coming out. he gave me a hug and a kiss then steeped back and looked at my outfit. "you love coat don't you" he asked while looking at the tan coat he bought me a month ago and i have been obsessed with it ever since. "you know the answer to that question" i said then turned to my mom and grandma.
"sam, this is my grandma and well, you've already met my mom and abuela, this is my boyfriend, sam" she smiles at him and pulls him into a hug taking him by surprise.
we walk ahead of them leading them inside while talking. "we need to talk after we introduce everybody" i tell him then we walk inside to see his family all over the place.
"mom, dad, emily, annie, ben, this my girlfriend, kayden and her mom and grandmother" Sam announces to all his family.
when his dad comes out, i can see where sam get most of his appearance from. "nice to finally meet you, kayden" he shakes my hand with a smile and i do the same. he then turns to sam and smacks his shoulder. "son you never told me your girlfriend was such a beautiful young lady" he compliments and i smile back.
we head farther into the house and i'm introduced to his mom again along with his three other siblings.
"hi, i'm annie, sam's oldest sister" she adds and he rolls his eyes in annoyance. "nice to meet you, annie" we at each other then make our way towards a girl with blond and purplish hair.
"nice to meet you, i'm emily, sam's older sister" she introduces and i watch sam roll his eyes again.
we make it to his last sibling which is his brother. he had this light brown/dark brown hair going for him. "what's up, i'm ben, sammy's older brother" he smiles at me and i return then we head outside leaving my mom and grandma with his mom.
"so, what did you want to talk about" he asked taking a seat on the porch swing. i take a seat next to him and start to speak.
"why didn't you tell me you had a family? i would have been open to meeting them and i told you about my family and i just think that's unfair of you to do that to me" i ranted along while he listened intently.
"i didn't tell you because i didn't know how to ask you. you don't date a girl and then be like 'hey, meet my family even though we've only known each other for three months' " he explained and i just listened not having anything to say.
"okay" i finally since it didn't want this to be a fight over something so petty. i need to get out of my feelings and just go in there and just bond with his family.
"i'm sorry" i said so we could be done and over with us whatever you want to call it. "it's fine but there's nothing to be sorry about, you didn't do anything wrong" he said and smiled pulling my him into a hug. he hugged back then brought my chin up to kiss him.
he grabbed my hand and we went inside and instead of going over to the table to get ready to eat since dinner was almost over, he took me upstairs to what i'm guessing is his room.
"baby, will you spend the night with me tonight" sammy asks looking around for something. "yeah, sure" i say taking a seat on his desk chair while continued looking for whatever it was he was looking for.
he quickly shoved something into his pocket before i could even seen it. i want to get suspicious but it could just be nothing. "alright, let's head back downstairs before they suspect something" he lightly chuckles and grabs my hand leading me back to mine and his family.
dinner is finally ready so we walk over to the table and he pulls out my seat and i sit and he takes a seat next to me.
his mom lays down everyone's plates then takes her seat lastly and we all begin to dig in after his mom told us to say grace.
"so, kayden, do you plan on majoring in anything for college" sam's dad, dave, asks me while taking a bite out of his food. "mm, i'm think maybe, business and medicine" i say then take a bit out of my food. "oh! we have another doctor in the house!" his dad cheers smiling at me. i blush since i didn't get all this attention from another family except flora's family.

"thank you guys so much for inviting us over to meet you all but i think it's time for us to go" my mom said getting from the table and in that moment i knew she didn't like something about sam's family because she always made some bullshit excuse when she didn't like someone and other times were funny but it's not this time because i really like sam and his family and i want my mom to like them also.
i get up along with her to walk her out and talk about why she made up this bullshit excuse. my grandmother nor her go to bed until ten and it's only eight thirty.
i walked them out and get inside the car with them. "what was that about i ask" i ask once i get inside the car and close the door. "what do you mean" (when you nod your head yes but you wanna no) she acts completely oblivious to her previous actions. "you don't like his family, do you" she looks deep into my eyes then looks down. "no, i don't but if you really care about sam then i'll try harder to like him" i smile and give her a hug then get out he car. she gives me a confused face.
"i'm going to stay with sam tonight" she got out the car and got in on my side. "be careful and have fun. no babies" she said the last part sternly and i nodded seriously. "bye mom" i gave her a kiss on the cheek and she returns the gesture. "bye sweetheart" she smiles then backs out the driveway.
i walk back into the house and am instantly pull into sam's arm which kind of takes me by surprise.
