Penelope's P.O.V.
As we were walk towards the nurse's office, Adam was silent. "Are you okay?" He finally asked, stopping and turning around to face me.
"Just a slight headache." I said. "What about your stomach?" He asked again. I didn't get to respond as he lifted up my shirt and looked at the bruise that was already forming.
"Why isn't it healed yet?" Adam asked, touching the bruise. I was expecting pain, but all I felt was his warmth and sparks.
"E-Er. I-I." I stuttered with my words. "Let's get some pain killers." Adam said, smiling.
I nodded, not trusting my words right now.
When I took the pain killers, Adam stared at me. "Do I have something on my face?" I asked quietly, touching around my face to see if there was something.
He walked up to me and held my hands, "There is nothing on your face, you're too beautiful to look away from." He said.
As he talked, I didn't know what I should be focused on, his words or his hands that completely engulfed mine.
"Ready to go?" He asked, I nodded and hopped off the bed. He walked me out of the building saying that we had a pass to skip the rest of the school day, it was almost over anyways.
"Come on, I want to take you somewhere." Adam said, opening his car door for me. I mumbled a quiet thank you before he jogged over to his side and the engine roared to life.
He drove into the woods, not too far, and shut off the engine, when he opened the door, I said, "We could've walked here, you know?" I said.
"I know, but after this I'm dropping you off home." I nodded my head before he held out his hand for me.
I placed my hand on top of his and he smiled, "Let's go."
He lead me until I heard water splashing. I got excited, letting go of his hand and running ahead of him. I heard him chuckle, but when I got to see the view, it was beautiful.
There was a bridge to go to the other side, a huge waterfall, flowers to the side, and a willow tree.
I looked around, amazed. I heard Adam chuckle, "This is part of what I wanted to show you. Follow me."
I followed him until we were in front of the waterfall, well, next to it.
Then I saw it, it was a little crack in between the water fall. I think my eyes lit up and I ran in front of him, again.
I went into the cave and saw that it was lit up by the sunshine outside and by candles littered across the floor.
He planned this out, didn't he? "Do you like it?" He asked, nervously. "Like it? I love it!" I said, skipping across the cave floor. I haven't been so confident in myself in a long time, and it felt good to be my old self, but I knew it was only just this moment.
I stopped skipping, realizing that Adam was watching. I blushed before covering my reddened face with my cold hands.
He laughed before walking up to me, "You're beautiful when you're happy."
I felt myself redden more, "Why do you say that?" I asked. "Because it's the truth."
He raised his hands to reach for my hands, and pulled them down gently. I felt the sparks as he did.
"I-I wanted to tell you something for a while now." He confessed. I cocked my head to the side showing him I was confused.
"I'm your mate." He said. "I-Is that I feel the sparks?" I said, staring at his hands. He smiled and nodded his head.
