Chapter 18: Dentist Appointment

Penelope's P.O.V.

I woke up to someone screaming. I jolted up, seeing Leanne on the couch and Luca on top of her. How did he get in my room? 

"Leanne." Luca mumbled. "Get off me!" Leanne screamed. "Mine." He said, looking at her. His head snapped my way and growled at me.

I whimpered and flinched back. "Get out." Luca ordered, his eyes darkening.

"Don't growl at Penelope!" I heard Leanne say. "Leave!" He said, getting off of Leanne and making his way towards me.

I got off my bed quickly before running out of my bedroom door. "Penny!" I heard Leanne yell, but I heard my bedroom door slam shut.

If they do the dirty in my room, I will never sleep in there ever again.

I see Adam in the living room couch, staring at me. "Good morning." He greeted me. "It's not a good morning." I sighed quietly.

"Why?" He asked, getting up.

"Luc-" I got caught off by someone screaming and running down the stairs.

Leanne ran behind me and Luca stood in front of me. He growled and I flinched back.

I heard another growl, but this growl made me feel safe and protected. I was confused at my thoughts but shook them away.

I saw Adam stalking towards Luca, and Luca wasn't backing down.

"Stop it guys." Leanne said. Luca snapped out of it once he heard his mate speak.

Adam was still stiff, not trusting Luca at the moment.

I hid behind Leanne, letting her face her mate. "I'ma go take a shower." She said suddenly. Luca's face brightened, "Do you mind if I join?" He asked, "Yes, I do mind. Now go back home or something." Leanne said, making Luca frown.

Leanne went back upstairs, probably to my room to shower.

Phoenix came in like a tornado, "Penelope, we're going to be late!" He said, fixing his jacket once he saw that we had visitors.

"Sorry Alphas." He said, bowing to them.

"It's okay." They said in sync. "Penny, go change. Any later we'll be late." I nodded, taking my time to go upstairs.

"Today, not in a year!" I heard Phoenix yell behind me.

I went upstairs, changing into my clothes. Luckily for me, Leanne was done taking a shower so I quickly brushed my teeth.

I went downstairs while tying up my hair in a pony tail.

Phoenix grabbed his keys before excusing himself. "Please don't destroy anything, if there's an attack please take my mate to safety." Phoenix said, putting on his shoes. "We will." Leanne said.

"Thank you." Phoenix opened the door and went out, me following behind.

I slowly got in the car, remembering the accident. I gulped, before stepping in the vehicle.

Phoenix backed up before driving forward and out out of the woods.

In a few minutes we reached the dentist. Phoenix told the receptionist something and she dialed something on the phone. 

My brother nodded before looking at me. "Come on." He said, I followed him into a room and we waited for the doctor.

"Penelope Sanders?" I heard a male voice say. I nodded my head and stared at him.

"Can you smile for me?" He asked. I smiled but I didn't show my teeth. "With your teeth." He added. I smiled and he looked at his clipboard.

"She's here for braces, correct?" The dentist say. I look at Phoenix which was scratching the back of his head, "Yes."
