Adam's P.O.V

Once my mother asked Penelope to take care of my brothers, I told her that I needed to go somewhere.

"Sweetheart, as much as I don't want to be away from you, I have some things I need to do."

"It's okay," Penelope said. I leaned down to kiss her forehead, "three hours at the least." I wrapped my arms around her and waved goodbye.

I walked out of the room and went to the doctor's office. I wanted to ask him some questions. I knocked on the door and he opened it.

"Alpha," He bowed his head. "Have you found anything about half-rouges?" I asked him, shutting the door behind me.

"Yes, during heat the Luna was acting... Weird right?"

"If you mean she was being taken over by the 'monster' then yes." I said, sitting down on the chairs. "If that happens, it is normal for it to happen during these times, then the heat stops for the week."

I nodded my head, "So that's why my wolf's been calmer." I mumbled under my breath. "Anything else?"

"Yes, me and the research team found a lot about half-rouges. I'll bring you to the lab, it's soundproof. We want all information kept a secret."

I nodded my head and the doctor got his keys. I followed him down the stairs and he unlocked a door.

When we went up, I felt cold air hit my face, but then turned warmer. The door shut behind us and he lead me to his office that he had down here.

"I'll go over some things," he said, getting comfortable on the chair.

"Half-rouges during heat are the same thing as normal wolves during heat. But if their 'monster' tries to take over, the heat will end the next day. During these stages, it is normal for the Luna's 'monster' to take over."

I nodded my head, telling him I understand."If the Luna ever shifts during these times, please tell me immediately."

"What happens when she shifts?" I ask. "If the Luna shifts, it will cause extreme danger for the pack and herself. This means her monster has taken over her, but only temporarily. If she does not shift back, the monster will slowly take over until the Luna cannot control her own body."

He stops for a moment, "When she has no control, the monster will be blood thirsty and will kill anyone in their way. When this happens, ninety percent is that she will not shift back, and the other ten percent is that we can save her."

"Is there anyway we can turn her into a normal wolf or something?"

"There is a way to save her, but the antidote we have to get from a witch and have to give something in return."

"What's the name of the witch?" I questioned, "Her name is Clover. Alpha, if we get this antidote we will have to give her.. Your life."

Before I could ask any questioned, the doctor continued, "Clover is a twisted witch, but she keeps her word. She wants the person who is trying to save their mates' life, in this case is you."

"Is there any other way we can get the antidote?"

He shook his head, "No. Clover has the last of them." I thought about this, but this is only when Penelope shifts during heat, although I don't want to take any risks.

"How long does it take for Penelope to loose control of herself?" I asked, maybe if we have enough time, I'll figure something out.

"Our research says around five to seven days." He explained to me. "Where does she live?"

"I will have to look that up, but I'm pretty sure it is not that far from our territory."

He pulled open a drawer and pulled out a black folder. On top of the tab, it was labeled WITCHES. He then proceeded to take out another folder and this time this one was labeled CLOVER.

He looked at the wall where there was a map of our territory and a slightly bigger map of land around our territory.

"Right around here.." He said, pushing a pin to a part in no man's land. It was a couple of miles away, but running in wolf form should get us there within minutes.

"Okay, is that all you found out?" I said, looking at the clock. I realized it was almost eleven. 'Penelope?  Where are you?' I said through our link.

'Umm... I'm at the library.' She responded me. 'Okay, I'll come pick you up.'

"We can talk about this later if you would like, I can see that you have already mind linked with the Luna." He said, putting the folders back into his drawer.

"Okay, thank you." He bowed his head at me and I left the lab. I walked up the stairs and hallways until I finally found the library.

I saw Penelope lock the library door until I finally called out, "Penny?"

"I'm sorry. I didn't know it would take that long." I apologized. "It's okay. I got some new books and met a new person."

"That's great. Where is Val anyways?" I asked. She would usually lock up. "She said her mate got into an accident and I was the only person in the library, so she asked me to lock up after I was done."

"Are you tired?" I asked her. She responded with a yawn. "Guess that's a yes."

I started walking, but not even after a step later, I heard my mate ask me, "Can you carry me?" I stood there shocked that she asked me, I turned around, not wanting her to think that I wouldn't.

She had her mouth covered and her eyes were wide. 'Carry her you idiot!' Noah said to me.

I walked closer to her and put one arm under her knee and one behind her back, carrying her bridal style.

I saw her blush, but was quickly covered with her books that she had. I laughed at Penelope, but she removed her books from her face and glared at me.

She slapped me with the books. I lost my balance and fell to the ground, my werewolf instincts kicked in and I quickly switched places with Penelope so she wouldn't get hurt.

I opened my eyes and got up carefully, "I'm sorry." My mate apologized. "It's okay." I said, helping her get up.

Penelope protested when I tried to carry her again, but I did so anyways. I kicked open the door and went towards the bed. I laid her gently on the bed, and she covered herself with the blankets.

I quickly took a shower before joining my mate. I got under the blankets and wrapped my arms around Penelope.

Penelope came closer to me before uncovering her head from the blankets. She stared up at me, and I leaned down to kiss her.

She kissed me back and before I knew it, I was on top of her. My hands roamed her stomach, I felt the sparks intensify and my wolf wanting to take control.

I saw Penelope's eyes darken as her wolf took over, but her beautiful green-blue eyes took place.

"I'm ready." She whispered. My wolf howled in joy, but I made sure that her wolf wasn't pressuring her to mate with us.

"Are you sure?" I said gently, she lifted her head from the pillow and captured my lips with hers, "Does that answer your question?"

I growled playfully, capturing her lips once again.

That night I made sure Penelope knew how much I love her since the day we bumped into each other at the grocery store.
