Penelope's P.O.V.

"A war?" I said, not believing what Klaus was saying, he nodded his head, "For power, and since we're both in the same pack, this pack overpowers all."

"Are we really worth the outcome of the war?" I asked him, thinking about how many people would die just because of us.

Klaus nodded his head again, "Rouges would do anything to get their hands on us, they're nothing but power hungry people."

Klaus then turned his head and looked at me dead in the eyes, "You need to kill yourself if you get caught again. You'll just turn into a thing that breeds babies for them."

"What if you get caught?" I asked. He looked away uncomfortably, "They'll find a way to use me. But, since you're a girl, you'll be an easy target for them. It'll also be easier for them since you carry the baby instead of a person they appoint."

"Don't we need to tell Adam this?" I asked, scared if people die because of me. "Trust me, I think he already knows." Klaus said, leaning back into the bean bag he was sitting on.

"How much time do you think we have until the rouges attack?"

"I'm guessing it's a pretty long time. They want us to think that there is no war and we can live in peace. I'd say about a year or two."

"Then we have a while to train." I said, but Klaus shook his head, "It may seem like a long time, but they can attack any time they want, we have to be cautious and change the patrols and add new rules."

"We should talk to Adam then," I said, getting up. "Aren't you the Luna?" Klaus asked me, I nodded my head.

"Then can't you change the patrols and add new rules? Isn't this your pack too?"

"I could, but I'm afraid." I said quietly, sitting back down. "Why?" Klaus asked me, "You overpower them, not the other way around."

"I'm... Just afraid." I said, looking away. "Never mind then, we can think up of new patrols though, the rouges probably already memorized the patrols."

"I think we should change them every week." I said quietly. "Pardon?" He said, but I shook my head, "Nothing."

We talked for a little bit more until he looked at his watch, "I have to go back, but you'll be seeing me more besides in the library. I'll talk to Alpha Adam about this." I nodded my head.

"Bye." I waved at him before he went through the magical door. "See you soon, Luna." Klaus said, shutting the door. Once again, the door frame started to fade away and there was nothing there but a wall.

I felt my phone buzz, so I took it out and looked at the screen. I dropped my phone to the floor, shocked and scared.

I slowly reached for my phone and watched it ring. When it stopped ringing, I saw his name on my lock screen.

I got another notification telling me that he texted me. I unlocked my phone and viewed the message.

'Come to the west side of the territory if you want to see your brother again. Come alone and at midnight.'

He's not dead? I thought to myself. My mind was filled with so many questions, I couldn't think straight. I heard someone call out to me through the mind link, but I couldn't hear what they said.

What if it was a trap? Klaus just said that the rogues are after us. But what if it wasn't? I asked myself. I shook my head, I should just see if it is a trap or not.. I trailed off thinking about the possibilities.

What about Adam? My friends and Klaus? The pack? "Penelope!" I heard someone shout. I came out of my daze and looked up. I saw Adam holding my shoulders and looking at me with worried eyes.
