Penelope's P.O.V.

"There." I said, smiling at him. He opened his mouth to say something, but I turned around quickly and ran towards the living room.

I slowly crept in, hearing voices talk. I saw Ophelia talking with Joseph and Joshua. The twins had their heads bowed down, and their hands behind their backs.

When she noticed that I was there, she stopped scolding her sons and greeted me with a smile. "Hello, Penelope!"

I went towards the couch, greeting her as well. "Where's Adam? You two are like inseparable." I shrugged my shoulders, "He was behind me.."

"I"m right here." I looked behind the couch and half of Adam's head was present. I jumped and went behind Ophelia.

She chuckled and backhanded her son. Adam got up from the couch, scratching the back of his head, "Sorry." He said sheepishly.

"What did you want to talk to me about?" I asked her, sitting back on the couch again. Adam put his arm around me casually and leaned back.

"Oh right!" She said, remembering. "Joseph and Joshua's birthday is in four days, February ninth. Can you help us distract them, like taking them out or something while we get ready?"

"Sure." I accepted. Ophelia sighed in relief, "Thank you! You're a life saver." She hugged me. "You can take them out around twelve and bring them back after two, okay?" I nodded my head, two hours.

"Sweetheart, as much as I don't want to be away from you, I have some things I need to do." He said apologetically.

"It's okay." I said, he leaned down and kissed my forehead, "Three hours at the least." He hugged me and waved goodbye.

I turned around and asked Adam's mother where the library was. She gave me the directions, and I left the room also, waving goodbye to her.

I soon found the double doors Ophelia was talking about and pushed open the door. I was astonished by how large the library was.

The librarian looked up from the book she was reading and smiled at me. "Good morning, Luna." She bowed her head.

I smiled back at her, "Good morning.."

"Val." She said.

"Good morning Val. If you don't mind me, I'll go explore the library." Val pushed up her glasses, "Of course I don't mind! People come in time from time, but no one is checked in today, so you have this place to yourself."

I smiled at her and walked away, looking at each shelf. The shelves were really high, there were ladders on the side that you can slide over so you can get the book you wanted.

I grabbed a few books that sounded interesting and found a mini lounge. There were a couple of bean bags, a small couch, and the carpet had changed to a fluffy white material.

There were signs saying, "Take off shoes!" and "Be quiet!"

I went towards a light blue bean bag and sat down in it. I opened one of the books I had selected and started reading.

----

"Excuse me, Luna?" I heard someone say. I looked up from my book, just a few more pages until I was done.

"I'm sorry, but I was informed that my mate had been in an accident. If you don't mind, can you lock up the library when you are finished?" Val looked panicked and worried.

I nodded my head, "Thank you. Here are the keys. If you want to borrow those books, you can take them, but you have to come back tomorrow to check them out."

"Okay," I said. Val looked at me apologetically before speed walking down the library. There were a couple of keys, but on the top of a gold key said, 'LIBRARY'.

I checked my watch that Adam had given me, and it was 7:46 P.M. It's getting pretty late, but I want to finished this book.

I put the keys in my pockets so I wouldn't loose it and continued my book.

Reading the last line of the book, I was smiling. I stood up and stretched a little, hearing my bones crack made me sigh out in relief.

I took the book I finished and placed it in a cart that said 'Returns'. I walked back to the little lounge and suddenly heard something.

I stopped moving, but the sound continued. It was like a wall door was opening. I followed the sound further into the library and saw a door in a wall. There was still dust around it, like it just appeared.

I slowly extended my hand to grab the knob. Once I touched the cold metal, I twisted it and opened it slowly. I cringed as I heard it creak.

Once the door was opened enough for me to slip in, I opened my phone's flashlight. The stairs were spiraling down, it looked like a short stair case, so I went down.

I was surprised that the railing or the steps weren't dusty, like someone has been living here and been taking good care of it.

Once I reached the bottom, it was a lot brighter than the entrance. It was another library, but a lot smaller.

"Is someone there?" A think British accent called out. "Who is it?" The voice called out again.

I heard footsteps echoing through the room, "I won't ask again!"

A figure came out in front of me, a pan held high in the air, like it was ready to be smacked down on someone.

"Oh, it's just a girl." He said, relieved. "Wh-who are you?" I stuttered. "I should be the one asking you that. What are you doing in my home?"

"Y-Your home?" I was confused, I just came through a door that appeared in the library. "Yes my home. I live here."

"B-But.." I was confused and scared. "You must have came through a door that appeared, yes? Many people have come but has forgotten."

I took a look of his appearance and he was wearing an eye patch, with a black shirt and some dark jeans. He had a scar running behind the patch, and was missing his pinky on his right hand.

"Wh-What's your n-name?" I said, finally gathering enough courage to speak again. He looked surprise at my question, "They call me Klaus."

"I-I'm Penelope." I introduced myself. Klaus' eyes widened, but quickly disappeared before I could ask.

'Penelope? Where are you?' I heard Adam speak through the mind link. 'Umm.. I'm at the library.' I said. 'Okay, I'll come pick you up.'

I quickly said okay, not wanting him to get suspicious. "Sorry, I have to go. I'll come back next time!" I said, running towards the stairs.

I pushed opened the door, and quickly shut it. As soon as I closed it, the frame of the door began to fade away and soon, there was nothing but a white wall.

I stared at it for a few seconds, "Weird.." I said aloud quietly.

I picked up my books and walked towards the door of the library. I went outside, grabbed the keys from my pocket and locked the door.

"Penny?" I heard Adam call out. I looked up and saw Adam walking towards me. "I'm sorry. I didn't know it would take that long." Adam apologized.

I smiled, "It's okay. I got some new books and met a new person."

"That's great. Where is Val anyways?" He asked. "She said that her mate got into an accident and I was the only person in the library. Val asked me to lock up after I was done."

Adam nodded his head, "Are you tired?"

I yawned, "Guess that's a yes." Adam said. Without thinking, I asked, "Can you carry me?"

He looked back at me, and I covered my mouth, my eyes wide as saucers. He grinned and walked closer to me.

Without warning, he picked me up bridal style and started walking. I felt my cheeks get red, so I covered them with my books.

I heard Adam laughing, so I smacked him with a book.
