Chapter 29 - Happy for him

-(C l a r y ' s  P O V)-

"What are you doing ?" Brooklyn mutter in between his laughter . I just stood there doing nothing while he's dying in laughter .

Ugh I hate him .

"Nothing!" I quickly respond not wanting him to know that at those seconds I actually thought he's going to kiss me and I actually would kiss him back if he did .

"I just ... I just ..." I mutter as I try to look for a reason that makes sense before I embarass myself way more than I already did .

Think Clary , think .

'I was just tired of this party so I closed my eyes for a few seconds' what the hell ?! Come on brain . 'My eyes just glitch so I...'

Okay that didn't makes sense again .

"You just what ?" He said still laughing in front of me . He clearly knew what he did .

"Oh my god I freaking love this song." I mutter as I look around me trying to change the subject . I need to run away from him oh god .

"Uhh I just can't hold myself for this one." I said as I try to move my body for this song that I actually have no idea what's the name . "So excuse me cause I'm so going to dance."

I quickly turn around and make my way to the group of people who are dancing around . Faking my happines trying my best to look like I really love this song . God please make this works .

"Wait ! Dance with me then." He said as he took my hand and drag me to the middle of the what-so-called dance floor .

Holy frickle is this really happening .

Brooklyn just drag me to the middle of the dance floor and now I need to dance with him .

"Brooklyn what are you doing?" I said as a shocked expression still clear in my face . People start to stare at us , but some just shrug it off .

"You said you wanted to dance , so let's dance." He said as a smile start to play on his lips . I burst into laughter as he laughs along .

"What"

"What you laughed too." I mutter as we chuckle at each other .

"Let's just have this dance shall we." He said as he take my hand and spin me around like a child as it's actually not hard remembering that he's so tall while I'm ... Well short compare to him .

And that's how literally we spent the rest of the night dancing like little kids jumping and making stupid moves instead grinding at each other like other teenagers would do .

I really had a great time dancing with him as we had so much laughter , like seriously we would laugh at everything . Even at the smallest stupid things and the most lamest jokes that we would said to each other , we would just laugh it off .

And I'd be lying if I say that I didn't cherish every moment of it .

It's getting late and we're also getting tired from all the jumping and stupid moves we did . So I'm trying to find Anne right now and Brooklyn decided to hel me look for her .

Where the hell is this girl .

"It's getting late where the hell is Anne." I mutter as Brooklyn just chuckle at me .

"If you want to come home just do , you can just call her later." Brooklyn suggest and I shake my head in respond .

"No because I bet the next day she won't stop ranting about how I ditched her." I said as I chuckle a bit at the thought .

"You're right Anne is Anne , I could give you a ride if you want therefore you can blame me if she asked you why did you ditched her." He said sounding all serious in a matter of time .

"What no , you don't have to . It's still very crowd here I'm probably the one who wants to go home right now." I chuckle at my lame self as Brooklyn look at me with his goofy smile .

"You're tired it's okay if you want to go home." Brooklyn said as he shrugs at me . Then all of sudden a girl and a boy who were seems like shouting and yelling at each other coming in our way .

Turn out to be Cassie and Mike .

Holy shit what is happening .

"Oh look who's here it's just perfect." Mike said in a frustration tone as he looks very angry right now . Cassie get in Brooklyn's back which make it seems like Brooklyn is protecting her from Mike .

"Stop Mike stop , I'm sorry I can't help it." Cassie pleads as she looks like she's going to breaks into tears at any seconds now .

"See ? Cassie just admit it . I just want you to admit it." Mike said half yelling at Cassie . Whatever happened with the both of them it really seems like a really serious things .

"Guys what happened ?" Brooklyn said looking as confuse as me .

"It's you Brooklyn , it was always you." Mike said shaking his head .

"I'm sorry." Cassie said once again and it seems so clear to me what was happening . Brooklyn kept quiet not wanting to get in the middle of this , even tho to me he already is .

"Just admit it." Mike said more calm this time .

Cassie looks unsure for a little seconds before she inhales deeply looking like she is gathering all of her strength .

This is awkward to me because I just stood there nit knowing what to do .

"Okay yeah I'm in love with Brooklyn , I'm sorry Mike I can't help it." Cassie said as tears start to streaming down her face .

There it is , I knew it .

I stare at Brooklyn who look just as shocked as me . Cassie loves him , I know he loves cassie . That's it .

"See it's fine Cassie , you're in love with my freaking best friend while we're dating and I've love you all this time." Mike said sounding real hurt this time . He looks like he's so done with Cassie as he turns around and just storm out of this place leaving the three of us .

"Please don't talk about this right now." Cassie said as she wipes away the tears on her face .

"Okay...do you ..." Brooklyn starts but he looks unsure for a little bit . " do you want me to take you home?"

Yeah he was just asking me the same question .

"Yeah I just want to go home right now." Cassie said . Brooklyn and Cassie both go leaving me standing alone in there .

Yeah he didn't even ask about me . No shit sherlock , he didn't even glance at me before leaving .

Yeah just like that .

Cassie loves Brooklyn too .  What he wanted all this time is actually happening .

Why am I not happy for him .

It's so funny how my extremely happy feelings just disappear in to this blank feelings in a matter of minutes .

I know why , Brooklyn did that .

He always has this kind of effects on me .
