Maths, possibly the worst subject ever and according to a tumblr post I read last night 'mental abuse to humans'.

Unfortunately it all started on a Friday with me sitting in a maths class patiently waiting for the school bell to ring so I could go home and sleep.

The teacher, Miss Gibbins, was failing miserably to teach our class algebra not that any of us were actually paying attention, I was however wondering when I would need to use this again in my life.

I felt someone nudge my shoulder softly and I turned to be met with my friend Emily's bright and wild eyes.

"Gabrielle do you think it will be scary?" She asked gnawing on her bottom lips softly,

I shook my head trying to snap out of my half asleep state, "Huh? What?"

"Do you think the ouija board will be scary?" She repeated waving her arms around subtly hoping not to catch the teachers attention,

We had decided over a week ago that we would try an ouija board for halloween since Kylie claimed she had one.

"Yeah, but I guess it could be fun too." I shrugged. Me and my friends, Emily and Kylie, had always been interested in supernatural things.

"So does anyone actually have an ouija board because otherwise we need to get one?" Emily asked.

"I think I have one in my house somewhere, I remember getting it for Christmas last year even though I've never used it." Kylie casually said as if it was normal Christmas present to get.

"Who gives an ouija board for Christmas?" I joked, me and Emily laughed.

"I can't remember, but it's the thought that counts I guess." She shrugged her shoulders.

"Yup, not creepy at all, best Christmas present ever." I said sarcastically.

I tapped my pen on the desk, bored. There was exactly 23 minutes until school ended.

"Both of you come to my house at about 6 o clock tonight, oh and don't forget your sleeping bags." Emily said excitedly.

"Wait, what about your parents?" I asked while looking through my maths book, pretending to read the illegible writing.

"They're going to my grandparents house for their Halloween party because apparently my grandparents still party." Emily winced at the thought of it.

"Why aren't you going?" Asked Kylie.

"Would you go to a party with lots of old people who just stand around and play bingo or whatever they do, it's not even a party, it's just an excuse for them to catch up on the latest gossip and talk about when they were kids." Emily ranted.

"Girls! If you don't stop talking I will give you detention and move all of your seats!" Our teacher Miss Gibbins rudely interrupted us.

I looked down at my desk and played with a piece of paper, we didn't dare to talk because our teacher is the closest thing to evil and is serious about the detention.

After a long, long, long time, the school bell finally rang loudly throughout the empty hallways.

I grabbed my backpack and quickly made my way to the door along with the rest of my classmates.

"Remember my house at six!" Emily shouted as we all went to our separate lockers, "and don't forget the ouija board Kylie!"

I walked to my locker quickly so I could get out of school. I picked up my books and a few other things then stuffed them into my backpack.

"Hey Gabrielle." A familiar voice said.

I spun around and collided into someone, which is very typical of me since I'm a very clumsy person.

"Are you ok?" I looked up, my eyes locked with the eyes of the one and only Elliot Johnson.

"Yeah I'm fine." I smiled, my gaze shifted to the ground.

I've had a huge crush on Elliot since the first day I met him, even though we talk from time to time we're not really friends, acquaintances maybe.

"So did you want anything?" I questioned him.

"Oh not really, just wondering if you have any plans for Halloween, like a party or anything." I rolled my eyes at him, he would do anything to go to a party.

"No, I'm going over Emily's house for a sleepover." I sighed, realising that he only talked to me whenever he wanted something.

"Well that's boring." He turned around and went back to join his friends, Logan Thomas and Luke Taylor. They were known as the bad boys of the school.

I swung my bag over my shoulder and headed for the doors, school was over, at last.

First chapter re-edited. Do you like it so far? This is kind of a supernatural, romance story. I really hope you like it.
