We found our way out of the mine, outside it was really sunny, we walked back past the house which looked less scarier in the daylight and after a short walk through the forest we got back to Emily's house at 7:30am.
We all went inside, her parents weren't home yet, the ouija board was still lying on the floor where we left it.
Elliot picked it up, "Kylie do you mind if I get rid of this for good?"
"Be my guest." Kylie was sitting on the sofa with Logan, they started kissing which made the rest of us look away awkwardly.
Me, Elliot, Luke and Emily headed outside. Elliot and Luke lit a small bonfire. I threw the ouija board into the bright orange flames.
"Emily," Luke said, "Will you give me another chance?"
Emily looked at him, "What do you mean?"
"Will you go on a date with me?" He asked nervously, he can talk to spirits but he couldn't ask the girl who he once called his girlfriend on a date.
"After everything we went through last night, yes I'll go on a date with you." Emily said, they both headed back inside leaving me and Elliot alone watching the fire.
"Gabrielle." Elliot said softly, I turned my head but before I could answer Elliot's lips met mine.
"I really like you." I whispered to him.
"I like you too." He said back.
I pulled away from the kiss before saying, "I thought you had to wait to kiss until at least after the first date."
Elliot chuckled, "We can pretend last night was our first date."
"Sounds good to me." We both headed back inside, everyone was sleeping.
Me and Elliot cuddled on the couch, "I still can't believe all of that happened in one night." I said.
"At least you have proof." Elliot motioned to the necklace.
I smiled then rested my head on Elliot's chest and fell asleep.
We all woke up a few hours later, none of us believing what happened. We vowed not to tell anyone what happened and we swore never touch an ouija board ever again.
I went back to my normal lifestyle, except now I was dating my crush, the one and only Elliot Johnson.
I never mentioned what happened on Halloween. I never mentioned the ouija board. I never mentioned the evil spirit named Shanabelle.
A few weeks later and we had all forgotten about the ouija board, there was nothing to prove that it actually happened apart from the necklace that I wore everyday.
"I love you." Elliot whispered to me.
"I love you too."
The end, or is it?
A very cliche ending, I know. I may or may not write another short sequel. Basically this was my first story I wrote, it's been edited twice. It started off as a joke but now I actually think it's not half bad. I hope you liked it, tell me your thoughts and ideas for a sequel in the comments. Thank you 🤘
