Now was time to put my plan into action. There was only one thing we had to do but it was going to be hard.

"We've got to say goodbye." I whispered to Elliot, "Tell the others."

"Okay." Elliot whispered my plan to Logan who whispered it to Kylie who whispered it to Emily then she whispered it to Luke, so far everyone agreed with my plan but maybe Luke had other ideas, I looked at Luke when he heard my plan, his face lit up and I could see he agreed.

We moved the planchette to the 'goodbye.'

"I'm not going anywhere." The spirit whispered, I felt her cold breath on my neck as if she was right behind me but when I turned around there was nothing there.

"What's wrong?" Elliot asked looking concerned.

"The spirits here." I said.

"We'll get rid of her...some how." He reassured me.

We moved the planchette to goodbye again and again but it kept moving away. I remembered reading something on the instructions earlier that day, there was a part about saying goodbye and it said that both the spirit and the participants have to want to say goodbye. But how could we make the spirit want to say goodbye?

"Why don't you want to go?" I asked.

Luke gave me a look that said, "I'm in charge here."

The makeshift planchette swivelled around the board before starting to spell, "I like it here."

We had to make the spirit say goodbye even if she didn't want to, sooner rather than later because it was morning and our parents would be wondering where we were.

"Please can you say goodbye." I said desperately, I guess it was worth a try by now I was willing to try anything to get rid of this spirit.

"Never." That one word scared me, there had to be a way to stop this spirit, it's like that quote, 'impossible only means you haven't found the solution yet." Nothing is impossible you just have to find the answer.

"I need some help." I said to the others.

"We've all got to think about saying goodbye." Kylie said.

"Okay we have to concentrate." Emily said.

We all closed our eyes in desperation to be free from the spirit.

Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.

The word kept playing in my mind like a broken record.

Then the planchette started to pull towards goodbye, then a magnet like force made it pull the other way, I sighed in frustration.

Elliot was looking at me with bright eyes and a huge smile, he had another plan.

"What's your plan?" I asked.

He looked at me amazed, "How'd you know I had a plan?"

"I know you to well." I smirked.

"Yeah, yeah stop with the flirting, if you guys didn't notice this is a life-death situation." Luke interrupted.

"Anyways my plan is that we all have to think about saying goodbye-" elliot started.

"We just did that." Luke once again interrupted.

"Let me finish." Elliot said annoyed, "Then we have to say goodbye out loud and maybe, just maybe, if we have enough power we can force the spirit to go."

"Ready?" Logan asked us all, I almost forgot he was there.
