About two minutes later me and Elliot came outside, by now the rain had stopped but it left the ground very muddy and wet.
Me and Elliot ran over to join the rest of our friends, "We found the map!" Me and Elliot yelled proudly to them, waving the precious paper in the air.
"Let me see." I passed the map to Luke's outstretched hand.
"Also something weird was going on in that house." Elliot told the others even though they already knew.
"Yeah, Elliot got possessed and wanted to kill me." I shrugged casually, everyone was staring at Elliot, he looked down guiltily, shuffling his feet on the ground.
"I'm really sorry." He apologised for the millionth time in an hour.
"I told you it's ok, I'm not hurt or anything." I smiled at him, trying to comfort him.
"In the kitchen there were knives flying everywhere and it was so scary." Kylie told the others.
"We almost died." Logan seemed happy to have survived his near death experience.
"All the lights went out and we could feel someone pinching us." Emily shuddered at the memory.
"Well it's all over now so let's go find the mine." Luke looked down at the map.
"Hey don't you think an abandoned mine could be dangerous?" I asked nervously, rubbing my cold arms to regain heat.
"Yeah but Shanabelle wouldn't tell us to do something that could be dangerous." He traced his finger over the map, trying to figure out which way to go.
"Someone's got a crush on her." Emily mumbled, Logan and Elliot chuckled.
"Guys shut up, I'm trying to work out this map." Luke ordered, his full concentration now on the map.
Luke read over the map a few more times before looking around, then he started walking.
"It says it's this way." Luke pointed in the direction he wanted to go.
Luke, Logan, Kylie and Emily started walking, closely followed by me and Elliot.
"Hey can I talk to you?" Elliot asked, he sounded nervous.
"Yeah sure, go ahead." I waited for him to talk.
"Um well I need your help, there's this girl I really like, I've liked her for a long time but I think she only likes me as a friend." Elliot started.
"And?" My heart sank knowing he liked another girl but I still wanted to help him because I knew it would make him happy.
"I wanna ask her on a date, even though it's a little soon but I don't know how." He smiled a little but I could tell he was embarrassed.
I bit my lip,"um well just tell her how you feel and how much she means to you, the worst she could say is no and that's very unlikely if it's you, I mean your a really nice guy and any girl would be lucky to have you."
"Really?" Elliot seemed happy with my advice.
"Yes, really." I smiled.
"Hurry up you guys." Luke called to me and Elliot.
"We're coming." Elliot called back.
When we reached them they were all standing still, we were at the mine.
