A few days past, and the young family were all sat asleep in the hospital on Ptolemy ward where Cara was staying.
She hadn't been adjusting to the medicine very well and was slowly deteriorating.
Suddenly the machine started beeping and Ollie immediately jolted awake. He rushed to his daughters aid where he started performing CPR.
"Connie! Connie!!!"He screamed as tears started streaming from his eyes. He didn't Cara any longer. His daughter was dying.
Zosia sleepily awoke as Connie burst through the double doors.
"What's happened? Why are you doing CPR Oliver?" Connie asked before realising that Cara's heart had stopped.
She took over from the doctor. She too had struggle starting the toddlers heart pumping.
After a further hour and no output and one pupil blown all the team decided that Cara was too young to carry on fighting.
The pain that shot through Zosia as she stood helpless as Connie called time of death was something equivalent of having your heart ripped out of your chest. She could hardly breath but dropped to the floor and started screaming hysterically.
Ollie also started crying freely but he tried to keep himself as composed as possible. His daughter was lying dead in front of him. How could this happen? His daughter was full of life a week ago?
"There must be some mistake" Ollie thought to himself as he walked over to lifeless Cara. He checked her pulse but there was nothing. The denial faded and he joined Zosia in the screaming. Connie tried to calm down the two cardiovascular surgeons but nothing could. Their child died. DIED. She was dead. They didn't get to say goodbye to their daughter.

...

"She must have been so afraid." Zosia told Ollie as she calmed down.
"I know. I feel so guilty. We were asleep Zosia. We missed our daughters final moments breathing." He said as his voice wobbled.
Zosia pulled Ollie into a hug and out her head in his muscular chest hearing his heart beating.
"I love you Ollie." She whispered.
"Why has everything gone wrong?"
"I don't know Zosh?"
"Is it me?" Zosia asked.
"No no no! Why do you say that?"Ollie quickly replied.
"Every child I have conceived has died except this one." Zosia exclaimed pointing to her stomach.
"I can't lose this one Ollie. I can't do this anymore." Zosia said breaking the down.
"I know Zosh. I'm sorry."
They both hugged and kissed their lifeless daughter who lay on the bed in the morgue.

I know it's really sad but I have a storyline where all had things happen before the good. Sorry...
