"Hey sweetheart. How was your day?"Ollie asked his wife as he entered the house.
"Very busy."she replied and she sighed as she sat down with Cara happily playing on her knee.
"I've been thinking Ollie. Maybe I should get a cleaner. That way I can spend some more time with Cara. She's growing up so quickly. And with our jobs and everything else going on, I really don't have time to clean and do the chores."
Ollie stared and laughed,"Of course sweetie. But I'll get the cleaner. I never realised you did so much." He exclaimed as Ollie realised that he hadn't been fair with the amount of work he subconsciously made his wife do. She smiled before sitting Cara on the floor.
The parents stared at their child in ore as she danced around the living room playing with various toys. She already knew how to count, multiply, divide and solve simple problems. She was only 2!
"See Zosia. As long as the father is intelligent, there is a greater probability of the child becoming intelligent. The mother's brains are just added on" Ollie smirked as he created a fact which he knew would wind his wife up.
"So... You're saying our child is stupid." She retorted as she laughed. For a split second, their eyes met and Ollie gazed into them. Her eyes were the most beautiful things he had ever seen. He fell in love with his wife more and more each day.
"Oh haha doctor March. Very funny!" He quickly zoned back to reality.
"Just using be statistics you gave me to work with." She cheekily smiled as they interlocked their hands.
Cara sat up on the sofa.
"Daddy. Why do you always call mummy doctor March. I thought she was doctor Valentine." Cara asked.
Ollie chuckled. His daughter was clearly very bright.
"When I started where mummy was working we didn't really trust each other." Ollie began trying not to insult Zosia," and so I called her Doctor March. But then we fell in love, got married and that's why your mummy is now Dr Valentine." Ollie tried to explain.
"You didn't answer my question daddy." The toddler giggled. Zosia laughed at this statement.
"Well you see. Daddy tries to annoy me by calling me Dr March honey." Zosia explained.
Cara nodded her head and yawned.
"Someone's tired." Zosia stated acknowledging her daughters fatigue.
"Thanks for noticing." Ollie chimed. Zosia scoffed a laugh and carried her daughter- along with Ollie- up to bed.
