The day she realises. [COMPLETED]

The Arrival

If you were standing outside the hospital, all you could here was the screaming and crying of Zosia. She was shouting at all three doctors as she was wheeled through the door on the Wyvern Wing.

"Get me drugs Ollie.I need pain-relief NOW!!!"Zosia screamed.

"Zosh you need to calm down...you'll hurt the baby."

"Okay..okay I'm sorry."She replied looking guilty as she continued to breathe in and out. Elliot was sat in Pulses drinking some coffee with Mo and Jac as they heard Zosia's screams.

"Someone's not a happy bunny.."Jac joked and Mo and Elliot stared at her. Dominic sprinted over to Elliot and asked if he could page Guy because they were all going up to maternity.

"Of course...Dominic"He answered before getting his pager.

"Thanks!"Dom exclaimed as he rushed to Zosia's side again.

...

In maternity, Zosia was one of the only people on the ward and so she almost had the midwife all to herself.

"Hello I'm Midwife Martinez..."

"Hey..are you related to Nurse Cara on AAU?"Zosia interrupted.

"Yes..she's my sister but anyway I'm your midwife for your delivery. How minutes apart are your contractions and have your waters broken?"

"They're about 3 minutes apart and yes my waters broke about half an hour ago."Zosia spoke as she breathed in and out.

"Okay you're going to be fine now why don't you sit on this bed and relax. Now can I examine you?" The midwife asked and Zosia nodded.

"This is when we leave.."Dominic said awkwardly as he left the room.
"And we'll just be outside if you need us..."Arthur said as he left. 

After the midwife examined Zosia she said,"Okay so you're 6cm dilated! 4 more to go!"

"6 already!"Ollie exclaimed,"Looks like someone wants to make a quick appearance Zosh!" Zosia giggled. She loved it when he used that tone of voice.

"At least he/she isn't lazy like you.."She joked smacking Ollie's arm playfully. 

"Oi!"He laughed as he kissed her on the forehead. "I love you..."

"I'll be back in half an hour to do your obs but for the meantime relax and if you need anything just shout."The midwife said exiting the room. 

"Thanks"they replied.

Once the midwife left Zosia asked,"Ollie please can you ring my dad. I want him here."

"Sure Zosh..."

...

2 hours later Guy,Arthur and Dom were sitting outside the room were Zosia and Ollie were. 

"Why won't she let me in there? She asked for me so why aren't I allowed in?"Guy muttered as he paced around the waiting room. 

"Mr Self, Zosia is just emotional. You know how she is and know her body is being pumped with hormones."Arthur commented and Guy looked at him. 

"Sorry. I didn't mean to. I mean you're a great dad. I..I.."Arthur tried to explain. 

"It's alright Digby. Relax."Guy replied. The room was silent for a while before Dom asked,"Does anyone want anything from Pulses? I'm going down there now."

"Err yes please. Could I have a double espresso?" Guy asked as Dom raised an eyebrow. 

"Yes but do you think that is a good idea with Zosia being pregnant?"Dom replied. 

"Oh yes. Well could I just have a tea please."Guy answered. 

"Okay. Diggers?You want anything?"

"Could I just have a cookie please?"

"Yeah sure...Bye!"Dom replied as he headed for the lift.

...

"Ollie..I don't think I'm ready to be a mum..aagghhhh!"Zosia screamed.

"You'll be a great mum and are you alright?"

"aaaahhh!! Of course I'm not alright you ****!"She swore. 

"Calm down Zosh. I'll get your dad."

"Don't you ******* dare!" She screamed through her contraction. 

"Mr  Self? Zosia needs you."Ollie stated with his head peering around the side of the door. 

"I'm coming. Zoshie it's alright. "He exclaimed pulling his daughter into a hug. 

"Dad it hurts. It really hurts. I want Mama."She cried.

"I know you do Zoshie. It's alright."He comforted with his daughter's head still buried into his chest and her arms wrapped around his neck. 

"Dad. I'm sorry about everything. Being bipolar. Ignoring you for 8 years and blanking you. I've been such a crap daughter. How am I supposed to be a good mother?" She cried again. Ollie sat on the bed rubbing Zosia's leg as both him and Guy tried to calm her down.

After the contraction ended Zosia sat up and breathed heavily. "I love you Papa." Zosia whispered kissing her dad on the cheek.

"Zoshie...you just called me Papa. You haven't called me that for years!" He excitedly spoke. 

Zosia blushed,"Ok DAD you don't need to tell everyone.
