ALONE

Chapter 39

It's the day we finally go she my sister in her resting place. I bring three roses. One from me, one from Ty and from my future child. I touch her name and start to cry. Ty arm is around me and looks down at me with passion and heart ache.

We stand there with respect for a while. Eyes closed and heads down.

"Samai!" I hear a voice say.

I turn around its Cole.

"Hi...I finally found you" he says excited.

I tell Ty that's my father and he says "Sup" and nods.

I look at him to walk away. He kisses my forehead and walks to the car.

"I'm sorry you had to find out this way" Cole say.

"I brought you flowers, lilies your favorite " I accept them then turn around to leave. I have nothing to hear from him.

"Wait" he says grabbing my shoulder.

"What do you want?"

"I wanna know how your feeling? I can't explain the amount of years I missed out on you and Savannah "

"You don't have to , you left me your family. Someone was more important" I say starting to cry.

" Listen your mother found out I was cheating and she kicked me out. I got my current wife pregnant and couldn't leave you guys or my wife. I did send letters and money on special occasions" He says wiping my tear.

I'm surprised. I thought he left like a dead beat dad.

"Why you changed your name?"

"Had no choice"

He holds my hand.

"How's your mother?"

Can't believe he doesn't know.

"She's dead. For a whole year now"

"What?!" He says banging his hand on the wall. Disruptive to the dead.

"Gone...just like Savannah and you"

"I'm sorry baby" he says choking up.

"Listen I got to go "

"Just know I always been white."

I giggle and say I know. I walk to the car with Cole and he gives me a hug and his number to call him every day no matter the time to tell him all the things he missed out on.

We go our separate ways for now. Ty takes me to eat and to buy me a few things.

I still love him. Been there for me through all the bad things.
