Song: The Aviators-Helen Jane Long
(Sorry if it doesn't pick up exactly where I left off, I'll get to that later in this chapter!)Aang
Aang slammed his staff on the table, his face contorted in anger and fear. Two watertribe children stood next to him, worry evident on their faces. "Calm down man," Sokka reasoned, "freaking out won't do her any good.""Calm down? How could you say something like that?! My sister is out there somewhere, probably in fire nation hands!" Aang screeched.
Katara walked up to him and hugged him close to her. "Dont worry Aang, I'm sure we'll find her."
Aang buried his face in her shoulder. "I'm more worried about what could happen before that."
Katara pulled back and grabbed both of his shoulders. "We can get her back later, but first we have to go into enemy territory. We have to get to the firenation."
He nodded silently. He had to save the world before he saved his sister.
MEANWHILE...
KAORIUgh...my head feels like it's about to split open. How many times have I woken up like this? Two...three? I'm losing count.
Flashbacks of before I blacked out filled my head. That boy I saw...he took me. My heart filled with anger and my hands started trembling. I fought back the urge to punch something and looked around.
What I saw made my blood run cold. Red. It was everywhere. Tapestry hung from the wall with fire nation insignia on it, the floor a mottled red-heck, even the sky had a red tint to it!
I looked around for my staff, curious as to where it could have gone. Where did I leave it?! Short breaths burst out of me and I willed myself to calm down. Freaking out would not do anything for me.
Loud footsteps brought my attention to a giant wooden door. I brought up my hands in a effort to look intimidating.
A boy stepped out of the shadows, a staff in his hand-my staff. He had on orange and red clothes, the color of the firenation. I lowered my hands and stepped towards him, relief filling me, but I stopped short.
For some reason I was getting a bad vibe from him...I don't know maybe it was because I was in a fire nation fortress, or my one weapon was taken from me, or even the fact that I had been knocked unconscious again earlier...I shrugged my shoulders. Maybe it was the spirit avatars before me or something...I don't know, maybe telling me something?
The boy's face scrunched up in confusion. "Are you...talking to yourself?" He asked with a slight accent to his words.I scratched my head and nodded. In panic situations I tend to do that. Putting my hands on my hips I took another step towards the boy-and my staff.
"Give that back, it's not yours." I demanded. My hands stretched out to reach it but he held it high above his head. That's playing dirty, I'm short!
My lips turned down into a scowl and my hands clenched. I felt my eyes burning, although it wasn't from unshed tears.
Nobody messed with the Airbender siblings and got away with it at the temple. And definitely not some wannabe thief who kidnaps people. Hey! I just thought of a name for the boy! 'Flameo, kidnapper of little girls! ...Too long?
Flameo took a step back gasping. "Y-Your eyes! That's not normal!" He held my staff in front of him like a warrior would brandish a sword.
I looked over at a marble pillar, my reflection coming off distorted but still there. What I saw shocked me.
