  Kaori

My eyes opened slowly and I stretched out my arms. Letting out a big yawn I sat up.

Today we would all go shopping in town. Aang had used his glider to fly around a little, and not too far away was a big shopping area with booths and shacks of all shapes, colors, and sizes.

I got up off the ground and walked over to my glider. There was a note explaining that Sokka and Kuzon went shopping already. I turned around with a smile on my face. That meant I would be going with Aang or Katara.

My hand brushed my hair back from my face. Geez I just might have to cut it soon its getting really long.

A hand tapped me on the shoulder. I grinned and blew the person behind me back ten feet with a gust of wind.

"Glad you could make it Aang."

  "No problem." He smirked.

"Where is Katara by the way?"

"I don't know actually but some of her supplies are gone so I'm guessing she left before us to get the better deals."

"Oh okay. I guess that makes sense."

I grabbed my glider and bag from beside Appa and Momo where they were sleeping. Me and Aang put on our 'disguises', which were pretty much just hats.

Aang and I opened our gliders and took off high into the sky. My coins jingled in my pocket and I thought of all the cool stuff I could get.

Who knew, maybe I'd even get something for Katara. I'm sure she'd like that.

Katara

My head felt tired and weighed down. But I lifted it anyway. I was in some sort of ship. Metal walls and floors.

The only reason I could tell I was in a ship and not a prison was because I could feel the water outside the boat rocking it back and forth.

The motion calmed me even as I remembered what had happened before I went unconscious. The smell of fire and that face I couldn't get out of my head.

My arms were tied to the floor just tight enough that I could crouch. My hands were locked together in metal shackles to prevent me from bending. Great. (Note the sarcasm)

The door suddenly slammed open revealing Zuko himself. Speak of the hothead. He strode towards me, grinning.

I gulped back the fear that lodged in my throat. I would not let him scare me. Aang and the others probably knew I was gone by now and they were looking for me.

"What do you want Zuko?" My voice shook a little, but it didn't break.

He narrowed his golden eyes at me menacingly. "You know what I want!" He growled lowly.

His hand grabbed my chin and he leaned in close to my ear.

"I want the avatar. I want my revenge. You are just a part of that. And once I'm done with you you'll be gone for good."
