So you want to know what you should expect from an Arab grandma? Well they can be adorable, loving but can kick ur butt if u misbehave.
Grandmas when they visit:
Grandmas might come to visit you once in a while if this is the case you might find this scenario very familiar...
MAMA: Habibti open the door your grandma is here!
ME: Hadr mama!
*opens door*
GRANDMA: AHLAN YA ALB- WHAT ALEESH YOUR SO SKINNY!
* eyes you up and down*
ME: hi Jadati! I'm on a diet.
GRANDMA: Mafeesh diet wa mafeesh ghrait!( check out previous chapters, this topic is included there x)
ME: JADATI we are not even in the house and-
MAMA: omi! Kafa halik?
GRANDMA: Wallah bintik Hala wakhlas ( your daughter is only a disaster) she come to my house last week and she now ghrait and she's too skinny!
*shakes head*
MAMA: OMI it's okay it's time she eats healthy.
*grandma smacks her own hand sarastically*
GRANDMA: wallah? No she needs to eat. Here take this sweet.
* grabs tons of sweets from her purse*
ME: how did u fit that all in there?
*gladly accepts while mum shakes her head.*
MAMA: come sit inside.
*two hours later and the Adults are drinking tea and watching TV ( we all know it's only for background noise )
GRANDMA: binti come sit...
ME: hadr
*mum exists room*
Grandma: quick take it ;)
*shoves a £50 note fro under the table to you*
ME: no no it's okay
GRANDMA : wallah take it quick.
* reaches hand out*
MAMA: WAIT DONT YOU DARE!!!!
GRANDMA: take the money albi don't listen to ur mom..
MAMA: if u even touch that money!!!!
*wags finger at you*
ME: okay fine no money.
GRANDMA: take the money now!!!
MAMA: don't you dare
GRANDMA : I won't come ever again!
MAMA: you will sleep in the garden!
GRANDMA: no more sweets
MAMA: I will disown you!
*i run out screaming*
