How to be an Arab:Arab mom's Part II

So I think this is quite common among Arab mom's, or any mom's for that matter. This scenario below should say it all.

You're in your bedroom, just lazing around, watching TV and all of a sudden you hear you mom "call" you.

You: Na'am (yes)

You hear nothing and so you call out again

You: Mama

There's still no answer and so you call out again...

Still no answer. You just give up and go to the living room where you last saw your mum. There you find your mum sitting on the couch, listening intently to the news reporter.

Once she spots you, she tells you "Go fetch me the remote on the coffee table..."

Quite relatable or nah? And so you guys have supported us, I decided to post another relatable scene.

Your mum calls out for you and you find her in the living room, watching her soap operas. (Let's not start with mom's and soap operas)

Mama: Go get my phone.

You: Where's your phone?

Mama: In my bag

You: Where's your bag?

Mama: Hinak {Honak for all those Lebanese ;)} (there)

You: Where's Honak/Hinak?

Mama: *snaps* Just go fetch my phone

*cue sigh*
